I've been wanting one of those for years, but I can't seem to locate any dealers inside the USA who sell them new. I've seen some Dickie/Tamiya branded Unimog U300s that look identical to that one. Many guys buy them only for the body, and then put the cab and box onto a higher quality chassis. From what I've read the Dickie/Tamiya Unimog chassis is toy-like, and looks just like the one in the link you provided.

If anyone knows where I can buy one of these models brand new, in the USA, please share. I would really, really like to have one.

As for a US dealer for Carson or Dicki-Tamiya you need to contact Ric – Gardentrucking , he could order that for you . I used to deal with Carson years ago but gave that up to Ric . But be aware , this new one is pricy , goes for average $ 185,- Euro in Germany .
The other option would be ebay , you see the older version ( simple 27mhz R/C system ) showing up once in a while , or even German ebay .
And here again , anything you guys want from Germany , it’s no problem for me getting these items , in most cases it’s just a costly deal , shipping and such .
But back to the Carson stuff , anything you see on Carson’s site Ric can order that .
I still order stuff from Germany all the time , either I contact the manufactures directly or have one of my buddies get me the stuff and ship it over .
Andy from Truckmodellsport Hafner used to carry them too , I just checked his site ,
but non on there at the moment . But Hafner carries also other Unmiog style bodies .
As you wrote Nathan , that is a preferred body for the trial-trucker guys .
And yes , the undercarridge is done fairly cheap . Not sure about the new one with the 2.4Ghz R/C system , haven’t seen any detailed photos of that one yet .

only the Dicki Unimogs have the hard plastic body ,
the Tamiya's are all Lexan bodies .
Also note the different types of Unimogs

sure ,
forget the Bruder ones , they are smaller and not much detail .
Thought they fit to our 1/16 scale trucks...
The Dickis and Tamiya's are 1/12 and 1/10 scale

Hi Guys, I have just received my Carson Unimog about 3 weeks ago. A serious r/c model it's not but for something a little different it's ok. I paid 179 eruos puls post from TTM in Germany and for that you get 2.4ghz included but not the same quality as Futaba(toylike). It comes with a working winch, head and tail lights, horn, flashers, beacon lights on the roof and a tipping body but will not go high enough to tip all pebbles out.I don't know if I would buy another but as an extra model to have running around at a display ok. ( not the same quality as Tamiya). If you want some close up photos let me know and I will put some up.
Paul

Here are some photos around the Unimog

The tray is at full full tilt in the photo and will not allow full ejection.

There are 5 switches in total 1 is main power, 1 backup beeper, 1 sound, 1 for the winch\tray not sure why that is there as there is no difference in each position ie both funtions work in each position and the one on the back is hi\low diff.

Thank's Paul. I think it's a decent "carpet queen" Yah the undercarrige isn't close to full size, but that would be alot of money to replicate.
Guess I'll have to pull my chinese "militancy" version out, yes the translation was bad!
And take some picture's. I bought it for the body, thinking the running gear would be mediocure at best.

I want the cab and dump box! It's nice that it has working lights. A guy can salvage the lights and circuit boards for them, and transplant the body to a good chassis. Just hate to spend all the money just for the body.
