Default drive shaft shorten

was there a thread on shortening a drive shaft?
im back to working on my Knight Hauler and installed
a PMD 4:1 reductions. i need to shorten the shaft to fit.
its the one from trans to first diff. it has the T-bones ends

i forgot another question. Now that the 4:1 is installed. the battery pack
wont fit. any other place will fit?. can i split the pack and install under the fuel tanks?
there is a nice flat surface there. i also installed the MFU
