So after a few months of madness, Ive finally had some time to start building my King. Started out with a stretched 28" aluminum Frame, and a few aluminum parts instead of stock. My original intentions where to paint the frame blue, but then realized, there are alot of blue frames out there, so instead went with a shinned up aluminum, and scale bolts to dress it up a little.

Decided to go with a lowered aluminum axle, and futaba s3004 servos

I know its not really an overly exciting build so far, but its going to be spread over alot of time since my free time is almost non existent :( .. Im definitly looking forward to it though since its my first truck build.
Ive already bought the MFU-01 and a Spektrum 6i, along with battery , charger, LED's, and some spare sheeting,, so Im ready to go,,
be patient,, :D

No worries Bigford, still here and definitely still interested...
Thanks everyone, really looking forward to getting more done, i love the way everything looks in the clean aluminum, just not ready to spend the money on axles and gear case just yet, maybe eventually.
I'll hopefully have new pics soon.

1ST...I've recently "completed" my first build. I like you had a lot of things I wanted to do upfront. Instead I pulled back, did part of the modifications to begin with and got the truck running. Now I can slow down on my upgrades and still run my truck at the same time. Helps on burnout from trying to do a massive build right up front.

Nice Bigford, I want to build a Landoll. I have a bit of an advantage though, I'm an Engineer for the company :). Now I just need to figure out how to make it a model.

Soooo here is a quick little teaser mock up of the direction Im heading.. I know its not much , but I don't want everyone to think I've dropped out..
Criticism is definitely welcome, nothing is on there permanent yet.

I agree with Bigford. I love the streetrod headlight on Petes, they just need to be a bit smaller.

This is the best looking set in my opinion: http://gardentrucking.com/details.tpl?action=search&cart=14393440005670804&eqskudatarq=1078&eqtitledatarq=Lighting15a&eqvendordatarq=pmd#.VcqlY_lill0

Keep it up, looking good.
