Been wantin to make one of these for awhile, actually had everything pulled out & was ready to go at it.But there was acouple be'in built,so figured I'de wait a bit to git back on this baby.
There's gunna be a hold up once I git to a certain point.(hydraulics)!
Just got off of the phone w/Pmd & there's no light at the end of the tunnel for hydraulic parts showin up at my door.:(
Have some big dreams on the burner for going screw drive. But not to sure about all that.
Anyhow....here's what i've got go'in so far.

Not to sound like a broken record ... but how about a twin steer picker!

What hydraulic components do you need? Maybe you could buy them directly from Germany. I wonder if TTM has the valves in stock (they also list Leimbach pumps). Others have gotten cylinders from Clippard or McMaster-Carr and you can buy the Jung pump directly from Jung-Fluid (and Kampfer has one on his site as well but it appears to be more than is needed).

Looking forward to seeing this one come together.

Looking real good Fred. I am going to have to start playing with the aluminum soon. I intend to build my trailer out of it. Where are you finding the aluminum at. I have looked at some of the online places and can't find angles and channel in those sizes. Next question I am interested in the corner clamps you have that you used on the bed. Where did ya find them?

And I would put in my 2 cents on the color but I think it's obvious.:D:D

Was going to paint frame, boom & bed black.Cab either dark or light blue.
Dreamweaver,Home-dip-shyt & lowes are a good place for starters.Or go to a metal supplier which is cheaper. Do you have any metal usa's around you? That's where I get most of my stuff.
Alarge part of the pieces I use I have to cut to scale because you can't buy it in a small enough size.

Fine you use for very thin aluminium.Medium for a little thicker,& coarse for thick alum. If you try to use coarse for thin,it'll just grab it. Fine or med on thick alum will run hot & Just make a mess. Be sure to hit blade w/bee's wax about every 15 seconds if you want perfect cuts. If the blade gets hot,it's all over.
Hey Jammer,I won't say I told you so.:p Works slick don't it?

;)bout time somebody used oil shocks as cylinders - best not boost your pump up to 15 bar though.....might get messy....

Thanks Guys!
Chris,I hope they hold,There 10mm pistons.Hopefully won't have to run real high pressure.
Greg, try it on your taps,Makes for a smoother thread.
What a pain in the butt to get this drive shaft in. It took me like 2hrs.

You can't fit a fleas butt between the shaft & outrigger housing.

Yea,it was a tight fit.Speaking of a tight fit,This baby is gunna need some shoe horns involved,to git the cab over all the electronics.

Freddy - best to drop some of the quick connects. On my IH I took a pc board to make a multi channel y adapter - didn't have room for those pesky long y adapter harnesses

Gonna fit an MFU?

Thanks Guys!
Brel, the plate is from PMD,They'll be on the venders forum very soon.
Larry, you aint gunna see what's under the sand paper, unless you come here & I show you.:p:D
Chris, Thanks for the advise.
Managed to get a little done, the out riggers work via the motor. Still need to make some changes. But,for just putting together,I'm not going to complain. At least it's only small changes I need to make.
Here's a quick vid of the movement of the out riggers. Not using the radio, just touching the wires together.
http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn50/FreddyGearDrive/freddys%20best/th_dumppics5063.jpg (http://s301.photobucket.com/albums/nn50/FreddyGearDrive/freddys%20best/?action=view&current=dumppics5063.mp4)
Now the next vid is done via the radio. Don't have the rest of the hydraulic parts yet,so can't raise the boom yet. But! The rest works!

Every thing needs grease, but not till after it is painted.
Man,git the hydraulics workin! & I'm not going to know how to act.
Thanks for takin a look!

those outriggers on neat Freddy. @We just finished hooking hydraulic lines to ours toady on the 60 Ton. Gotta put the arms in and feet on tomorrow and hope to have most of the hydraulics running. Got about 40 gallons in it now. Prolly gonna take another 50 at least. Now I just have to remember to take my camera with me next time.

Thats an awesome boom truck Freddy! It seems to have no problem at all yanking that weight around. I'd be interested in seeing what it can do with the boom sucked in and raised all the way, once you get the hydrauilics installed, thats where you get your max chart.
