New King Hauler

Got this one from a good buddy of mine that I have been trading with for 15 years or so. He lives in the Southern part of my state but we never have met just phone and internet chat. So I loaded up my end of the trade deal and drove 270 miles round trip and this is what I got. Basically stock King with Rc4wd wheels and front tires. Has a Traxxas xl5 and 55 turn motor. It also came with a set of 28 inch rails that I will probably install once i get some rod for a driveshaft. Here are a couple pics....

Stick king rails are also perfect length for a custom looking globe liner with the stretched owner operator look. That's what I did with my stock king rails.

Well i finally got around to stretching this rig and I like it!!! Just need to make a driveshaft for it and will be back on the road. Here is a few pics!

Finally got some extra cash to put into this old girl, so shaving the front fenders, adding a new grille and rear bumper and possibly some Grand Hauler fenders. Some new aluminum rims are coming as well!

Yeah I would have liked to have done the seats and dash but looks like the speaker box will go there. It's not as bad as my knight hauler that has the big speaker box but the MFU sounds so much better with it...I also popped on a sweet grille for it. Just got to wait for it to get here from Hong Kong!

I couldn't wait on Joe to get them in so I ordered mine from Stellamodels in Hong Kong and had it in a week for $80 shipped. I really like the grill and am considering getting the Lesu air cleaners too! Also gonna get the metal air horns from Tamiya. I ordered a set of aluminum rims from rcmart but the rears are on backorder. I think thats all for now!

It's a custom built one by my buddy. Uses some tamiya flatbed parts but most is custom. And yes the kit ones are way too short.

Aluminum rims finally showed up from Hong Kong. Took forever for them to come back into stock. They are Xtra speed 10 spokes. Very nice quality for for what you pay. I think I'm gonna order some more for my flatbed trailer to match.
