I know I've seen them on here before but everything i try in the search function yields me nothing. Just got wood at the local AC Moore and im about to build a bunch for my 53' flatbed and almost finished F550 truck. Since a pallet is 48x40" that comes to 3"x2.5" in 1/16 if im correct? But the Tamiya semi is somehwere between 1/14 and 1/16 scale i read on here right? I cant find a 1/14 converter online so ill stick to 1/16 and make them 3x2.5", should come out fine i hope?
Thanks guys

Ok well i goofed up, just made two pallets at 3x2.5" and went to see what they look like on the 53'... WAY TOO SMALL! So now it looks like Tamiya is actually 1/14 scale? So i need a 1/14 convetter now and i cant find one online

I like using this link for scale conversion into imperial or metric measurements which makes things easier also.
You just enter the scale you want and away you go.

Thanks ill do that. Just found a custom trailer builder who stats the 1:1 width on a tractor and it comes out correct. So actually a tamiya is 1/13.5 scale so the stock flatbeds are .5" too narrow, now im ticked and i want to fix my trailers and adjust my pallets and cargo to match....IT NEVER ENDS LOL

Thanks supermario, just used that link and at 1/13.5 the pallets should be 3.5"x2.95"! Ill make a few and post pics, then its on it adjusting my trailers...

Well here it is, 48"x40" US pallet in 1/13.5 scale which comes too 3.5"x2.95". I have my daughter glueing them up

And the pallet on a unfinshed Tamiya trailer that is going to be a 48' drop deck soon. Stock trailer scales out to 96" US trailer so pallets will be bump rail to bump rail

Here's another scale calculator I use at work.
http://scalecalculator.appspot.com/scalecalc
You just plug in whatever scale you want and select inches or Metric

I made mine out of popsicle sticks and just cut off the rounded ends. Started off with 3 x 3 but thought they were a little small so now my standard is 3 x 3 1/2. Have built several larger ones 3 x 4 and even 3 x 5. Just use some square basswood for the rails between top and bottom. Cheap and easy to make.
I've even made some very large custom ones, one of my flatbeds load is actual full size bricks. At .62 each a bargain :)

So I made 7 before I ran out of popiscle sticks. Cost me about 12 bucks and 8 of it was for the dremel cutting blades.

Thanks they were fun and annoying to make. First one was the best imo. Other 6 I made after cutting everything so I was already over it.

Not a pallet but I was bored too, not making anything else until I get the steel Dremel blades I ordered.
