personally, the construction site thread is a way of sharing my RC space which wouldn't be needed or exsist without the things built along the way. I like how it combines the two aspects of the hobby.
I can share things built and then show why and what purpose it serves all in one location. The format may lack in specific category detail about each project within but it's not really a daily news article kinda thing, but more of a story being told.:)

I hear ya jack, I'll stop posting my building progress, as it's been all building and no digging lately. Temps are somewhat warm today, good day to dig some (dog) dirt from the pit.

But on a specific remark to your comment; yes, I do post my building progress on the construction companies and worksites. Some reasons for that are;
It's a fictitious company
It's a mockery of a worksite
And just like my mind everything is skatered into fragments
Once I get a build finished I will be posting in the "show us" section and have a link to page numbers.

Other than that , yeah, I agree with what's up with all the construction companies and worksites????

I've posted all of my builds separately as I've done them and to be honest I think it is not the best way. If I want to update an old build and post pictures, video or whatever, I always have to search for the thread first. Technically it is easier to find information if someone is looking for a specific build but I'm starting to wish I had just balled all of them together. That way if someone(like myself) wants to see where a fellow modeler started and where they are today it's all in one giant thread. Sit back in front of the computer for a while and look at someones skills improve and there collection grow larger one page after the next. I like it!

I agree with you guys, I enjoy the construction threads with the builds, updates and repairs as it happens, it flows better and we seem to have more fun on those threads :D

I like to go to the construction site posts because it's alot easeir to associate the person, or search for a build that you have seen in the past and want to find it again. The down side is, when there is ten thousand posts such as Joes, lol, no offence Joe, and your tring to find a specific build within there site you have to scroll through every thread.

Count your blessings, if this forum had started 5yrs earlier, that thread would literally be 10 000+ postings :p ....lost a couple 1000 with close of the GTF :rolleyes: :(
