I want to remove the servo linkage from my fifth wheel and just put a hand operated lever on it. Does anyone make a spring or something to keep the fifth wheel tilted back. Or has anyone custom made a spring, and can tell me how. Thanks, Chad

I'm going to assume you have a king hauler or globeliner. Any of the newer trucks like the knight hauler, Cascadia, aeromax, etc all come with the spring to keep the 5th wheel tilted. This is probably the cheapest way to get it unless you can find someone who will let just that spring go. http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio-control-parts-70/7-digit-spare-parts-71010/rc-coupler-spring-bag-56314-9400026

I use the springs out of sheet rock anchors. You can get them at any hardware store.

When I upgraded my trailers from manual to motorized legs is when I found the perfect spring inside the manual legs for the 5th wheel.
Petermobolin has a great idea using the drywall anchor springs! Thanks for sharing that one.

I use ballpoint pen springs cut down in length a bit.
Attach to bottom plate with a dab of epoxy.
