Booked at Quality Inn a couple doors down for 3 nights what it costs at Marriott for 1 night. It's a very nice hotel but man it's pricey!

It seems that things have changed at the Indy conference hotel, the old Laquinta. I just called and booked a room for Thursday Friday and Saturday nights for 80. Dollars and change (AAA Discount) The lady that took my reservation said they still have plenty of rooms available, not sure why it was posted that they were booked. If you still need rooms or want to move closer call them. 1-317-359-1021.

Woodhog, ours will be there. Not as nice as yours but still a bridge.

Are we all getting the itch for Indy? If you have never been feel free to ask some questions.

We typically get to start setting up early evening of Thursday.
Whoever is there to help set up helps decide on the layout.
We run until about 2am or so.
We start next morning around 8 am
The room is locked down by security and remains locked until they open it for us.
Guys typically group together for meals, so no reason to eat alone.
We can run the halls (encouraged) during the show.
Convoys in encouraged.
We pack up noon Sunday.

If we don't have a truck or equipment running yet, will there be much of a chance to get to run someones spares?

Is it more truck or construction setup, or pretty even split?

What would we need to do to help with setup thurs night?

I have a dump truck that's pretty dummy-proof now thanks to Izzy. If someone asks nice I probably wouldn't mind handing them the keys.

Pretty even split, either is able to have a good time and play all weekend.

**** bring your projects. We always need something to keep Izzy occupied. :D

I'm getting excited, it looks like a bunch of fun.

If anybody coming to indy happens to have any extra Firgelli / Actuonix actuators they might be willing to part with, can you drop me a pm? (Sorry if asking it here is bad) My ''Dumpless Truck'' won't be nearly as useful or cool to run around with as a Dump Truck.

As a main lift or for tail gate?
What bed size?
Got a thread started?

frizzen
08-13-2016, 09:32 PM
I'd like to use it for the main lift ram.

Bed is 5.20"w by 7"L by 2.5"h. Hinge is 1.5" fwd of the gate, ram attach 2.25" fwd of gate. Original 'hydraulic' ram is an oil damped spring 100mm open, 80 closed, 20mm travel. I'm open to suggestions of better ways to do it.
