Hello guys,
I'd like to share with You with some pictures of my last project. It is an 1:14 scale oldtimer Fuchs 712SS scrap loader.
This is how it looks (here are a different supports mechanism, the rest are the same).

I've always make many pictures of model i made and it's quite difficult to add hundred of pictures to forum so i made videos and upload them to Youtube. Here You can see how i made every detail of this model.

As You can see on the video's, the chassis are complete.

In few days i will get laser cutted parts to make arms. They are 100% made of steel.
Below a few pictures of things i made last time.
Primary arm weight is 450g (with ballbearings etc.)

I like your assembly system for the arm, i´ll do some similar, and the octopus (i don´t know if is the correct term) is impressive, the arms of the octopus are made with foundry?
Only one sugestion / constructive criticism, in my opinion,i don´t like the use of ballbearing in the arm, i think is better to use brass/bronze bushing. In the ballbearing the hidraulic ramp could apply a great force, I consider that it is not best solution

Thanks for the reply. The arm is made of steel sheet 1mm thick.
About the ballbearing - it works really smoth. I don't know what do You mean by saying " the hidraulic ramp could apply a great force " ?

The build is looking good! Always interesting for me to see older European equipment.
I think Tessen is saying the balls in the ball bearings could crush a little and not turn smooth anymore if too much side force it put on them. Also if they don't rotate very far each ball will wear a little groove of it's own into the races which is probably why you always see bushings used on heavy equipment. But that isn't to say that ball bearings won't work for you with the relatively light loads and low hours most models see.

Oh yeah, the swing bearing will be fine. We were talking about the small ball bearings in the boom for the cylinder ram ends to pivot on. At least from here they look like ball bearings.
Did you buy the swing bearing or build it?
