so i want to make a new wheel loader , i got a few things to take of first, but i want it to be big!! not quite mining sized but large like a cat 990k so........

so what would be a good wheel size for something like that?
and gear motors or axles ? and what would be some tips from pro bulders?
i have built a few models and learn what not to do each time but i always like to
learn from guys that have done it before.

Maybe you can narrow some tires down like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OJOYmBxo88

Maybe 2.2 rims with proline 'masher 2000' tires? At 5" tall by 2.43" wide. It's still pretty square, but not nearly as wide as the clods.
Clodbuster tires you mentioned like the proline 'destroyer' 2.6 seem to be 5.70 Tall by 4.26

Hi. Im from the RC Traxxas realm and think the PROLINE and Duratrax tires should do pretty well. 30 or 40 size seems like what you need, but if you wish to go bigger try the X-maxx tires.
Towerhobbies would be a good start.
IMH opinion.
Apologies in advance if not understanding.

ya i was thinking something from traxxas i know they make a few monster turcks with more scale looking wheels.
the bigg thing is how wide they are, loader tires are tall not really super while. or low profile

Depends on what scale it's going to be. If 1/12 scale, then obviously look at 1/8 crawler tires or industrial hand truck tires. They seem to be around 7-9 inches, which at that scale is accurate as the 990 is a 7 footer

tamiya mammoth tires are close but too soft if it'll be as heavy as mine (60#)
i used these for my 1/8 scale http://store.rc4wd.com/Rock-Crusher-Monster-40-Series-38-Tires_p_753.html , they look ok although its not finished yet also went for gear motor on each wheel just because it was easier than making a solid axle.
