I have been looking for a decent quiet planetary for running a Jung pump ..Has anyone else found anything that is suitable for this application ..I ended up making my own and hope it will hold up ..parts from a cordless screwdriver with approximately 8 to 1 ratio ..My motor is 1600 kv running 12 volt
12 x 1600 = 19200 / 8 = 2400 rpm max ..Suitable for the jung
Would it be better run say a 700 - 1000 kv motor with a 4 or 5 to 1 ratio and have a less likey to fail gearbox thoughts ? .. My Motor is running at about 150 degrees ..does this seem about right
what temps are you guys getting with you brushless systems ..they say not to run them over 175 degrees ..thoughts?

Yeah, 2-3000 rpm is alright for a Jung pump. If you don't mind the noice of a 1600KV motor, if may not be a problem...will likely deal with 150-175 degrees for some time. but...lower rpm is always a bit better in the long run, when it comes to such equipment. I'm about to mount a 400KV motor to a Jungpump. I just can't stand the screaming of many of those brushless motors and managed to find bit quite one. But need to but a transmission in there anyway. If going for 1:1 ratio, the motor would just be too big.

These are the plantary gears, but you can get parts, or complete gearboxes. Just look around, maybe find something your looking for?
