This is my first build of a tamiya semi truck, have been building tanks but I needed a change, also in the process of changing a tamiya flatbed trailer to a spread axle, just waiting for the parts to come in.

Under the federal B formula, the axles must be 10 feet apart (though in practice they are placed 10 feet, 1 inch apart just to be safe for the times when a zealous enforcement officer measures that distance with a tape). With the "10-1" spread, each axle is considered independent, and can carry up to 20,000 pounds, ...

yep, use to drive for several companies that used spread axle trailers, tho I miss driving sometimes, I like being home.

Specs on the light in-case anybody is looking for one.

These bars have 16 LED's in 4 sets of 4, each pair of LED sets ( Left and Right) flash in synchronised patterns (9 patterns). The flashing sequence is selected by two pushbuttons (one for front and one for the rear). The forward and rear pairs can be set separatley but the units can be modified to be controlled by a single button.

The case is of rounded form top front and rear, top and sides are silver/grey , front and rear are clear.

The beacon comes supplied with a connector for a 9Volt battery pack but will run from approx 3 volts to 12 volts.

Specifications:
Length:115mm
width: 25mm
height: 6mm
working voltage : approx 3 to 12 volts

That's a sweet looking rig you have!!! Where did you get your light bar from? I have a couple of them but could use another one. How do you wire them to one switch? Do you just join the wires from one to the other?

heres where I got the lightbar from, It still has the two switches that control the front lights and the back, I haven't change them yet. but you can splice them together to work off of one switch. there is a power switch that's located by where the 9 volt hooks up, then there are two button switches that control the functions on the front and rear lights. I found the L shape bracket in my junk drawer.

Im thinking about putting a headache rack on it but it seems that it would make it more difficult to get to the battery. I would have to keep taking the body off to get to the battery.

I have this headache rack and it's easily removable. There's two screws holding it at the top and you can then just slide it off for quick access to your battery.
