I'm optimistic that tomorrow, I'll receive my tracking number for the 4200 Excavator. I wasn't able to get to the bank prior to this evening to get the wire transfer did. When I did get there to do it, I was told that since it was so late in the day, that the wire WOULDN'T go out until tomorrow morning.

I'd be HIGHLY upset, if I bought from an american company, believing that the goods were already stateside, to find out that I'd have to wait fir a SLOW boat to carry it to me from China!

I'm sure it says on there website somewhere that they ship from multiple warehouses. When I bought my 4200 from them it came over the pond.

RC4WD Have almost no high dollar item in their California Warehouse. Most smaller parts......I've have done a visite there a while ago and also had a conversation with the owner. That way save a lot of shipping internally. and the customer pay it all from manufacturer to customer in one shot.

RC4WD and Eagle only deal with DHL when it comes to the construction models and ship uniquely by air. You don’t have to worry about it being transported on a boat.

That is GREAT news. I can handle it coming from overseas, so long as it is sent expedited, rather then the cheaper & WAY SLOWER boat method.

That sounds about as terrible as the Credit Card refund from RC4WD. They refunded (Banks were closed, NO WAY possible to do a wire transfer over the holiday weekend) the initial Credit Card payment on 11-27. It STILL HASN'T reached me yet. The estimated date when the funds will return to my account are between 12-2 & 12-9. It ONLY took less then a second for the money to leave my bank account, but takes 1-2 weeks for it to re-appear? Somethings wrong with this! I SHOULD have did Paypal to secure the initial order! At least then I would have had the PP refunded in a timely manner.

Tang from eagle sent my tracking # at the same time. Which was the day my payment cleared on his end. Not counting the days it took to clear, this whole deal should be 5 days of shipping. Fingers crossed my excavator should be here on the 4th of Dec. Keep you guys posted on what's going on..

All the stars aligned for me today.. left work early got phone call from FedEx saying we got a box here 73 pounds you want to pick it up or chance the truck.. his exact words. Quick u turn back 2 exits to the FedEx mecca. Scary when the guy asked if was a rc excavator because he said all guys were asking, so im thinking x-ray maybe.. Out rolls the box with huge pic on the side. Guess I'm lucky they don't ship lipo. Let screw inspection begin. So my math was right 5 days almost to the hour. Missed it by 4 hours..

Worried is an understatement! It's a HUGE worry when a company that you've NEVER previously dealt with WON'T accept credit cards, & insists upon a bank transfer to pay for the item(s)! There's NO guarantee for us going that route. With Paypal, &/or Credit Cards, there is a way for us to get our $$ back, if the goods AREN'T delivered.

As far as I'm concerned, Tang from eagle is the route I go never waited more than a day for a reply. Shipping is done once payment clears. A+ in my book. Both machines ready to go right out of the box. Swinging sights on the dozer next. Still not 100% on the mining trucks scale.

No thank-you! The timely replies to emails, even outside NORMAL 9-5 business hours made me less stressful while dealing with RC4WD. A couple times at 7PM pacific time, & even a reply on a SUNDAY (That's NOT a business day......MOST places WOULDN'T answer till Monday at the earliest) has made me a lifetime RC4WD customer. Their customer service is superior to most business's that I've ever dealt with! HOPEFULLY next year they do the Black Friday event again, & I can get the dozer AND lowbed trailer to move everything around with!

The sale price was what got me to buy it! I've long been watching & wanting some hydraulic RC equipment, but the prices were a touch too high for my liking. I looked at several other companies/manufacturers & knew that they were truly offering killer deals!

No sir, not a problem! There customer service is excellent. Mine has an issue with the drive motors. they asked me to take a viseo of the issue as it's happening, & send it to them. They also requested the serial # for my machine be sent to them along with the vid, so they could get replacement parts in the mail to me.

I as well was skeptical of the wire transfer ONLY policy. I'm glad I bought mine during the Black Friday sales event, as I got a killer deal on it.

TYVM

The weather here has been unusually cold, & drier than usual. I don't have an indoor play area. Since the weather has been so dry, I took mine out to play on Sunday. I was really impressed with the digging power. I wasn't too impressed with the drive motors. I've ordered from Soyland Industries the upgrade kit for them. I hope the weather will still be dry when the upgrade kit arrives, & I get the hoe running again. For now, it's in pieces, sitting in the garage on a shelf. If the weather DOESN'T cooperate, then the machine will stay stashed away until spring time.

Since our package is coming from Hong Kong, are we as buyers going to be hit up for customs duties and taxes or does rc4wd take the hit?
I guess I should direct this question to previous buyers from rc4wd?

skeeter

There are no taxes/import duties......at least for Wa state. IDK about the greedy CA government, they might could slap you for taxes.

It depends what value they put on the invoice. When I ordered directly from Eagle I noticed they were kind enough to indicate a value of 200$ instead of the full value. DHL charged me 50$ for brokerage and custom fees so I was happy in the end, I honestly was expecting worst.

Look on the bright side 1 inch of snow could of led to a slip and fall with the box in his/hers hands. Plus now there's some snow on the ground to plow. Speaking from experience the 870k plows really well. https://youtu.be/X6yrCHfIqAk

My back would handle it........the knees would be my problem area. Carrying that much additional weight upstairs would be a struggle. trying to carry that much weight DOWNSTAIRS, I believe that I would almost in a cartoon like manner, roll to the bottom of the stair case, due to a knee giving out.
