Need advice from brainiacs on the forum. I got a heavy metal tipper and the mechanism I put together is struggling with the initial beginning of the upward stroke. Forget about load, it can hardly lift itself. I'm using 3d drive screw that has big aluminum coil, that is stretches under load and about to snap. The motor ratio is 30:1. What can I do?

Maybe a spring pushing up on the bed, it is the angle which I believe is the problem, but the spring will help along and the thread actuator will hold it compressed until you need to tip the bed? just a thought.

A spring would help but I'm more concerned about the angle of the screw when the bed is down, almost parallel with the bed so most of the force is pushing it forward. Is it possible to lower the motor/gear to increase the angle? That's what I would try...

I actually removed the coil and changed the esc to a stronger one, using 9v battery. Its ok now, although, did't try with the load yet.
