I ordered this kit last August and it arrived around February. I'm just not getting started on it. Frank says I have the only 490-11 in the entire state of Texas! I have been posting progresss on FB and am much farther along than my current posts but photo hosting has been a bit of an issue......
I started with pressing track pins:

Next, I started to assemble the undercarriage. Both ESC's for the brushless track motors are stored here. Im using ESC's by Castle Creations and so far I like them quite a bit! It looks like a mess here but I got it cleaned up......somewhat

After I got that the undercarriage wrapped up, I started on the upper half.

next I started setting up the valves. I bought cheap servo's, does it make a difference as far as control?

Then I put the boom together. I did not take many pics and it was not pretty! If I had to do it all over again, I would have ordered reamers in the 3 sizes required..... I got it done thought

Then I started on the details.... These 1.3mm fasteners are not for the faint of heart. I pre drilled 1mm holes, cut the screws and said prayers... it worked out, mostly...

And then I got the guts moving with no leaks so far..... My new problem is setting up my Spektrum radio.... These valves seem to have a pretty wide center and after that, i'm lost... Currently running a DX7 and have the 2 accessory valves disabled until I can get a new radio....

The servos, depends how smooth they rotate & how quick they respond.
As for radio, a DX9 would be best, slides on the back for the tracks.
Looking good so far.

Looking good, this is part I hate most! Trying to squeeze 8 pipes neatly in there without any kinks is a nightmare!
Did you not opt for a quick coupler?

I plan to add it at some point. I need a radio with enough channels first....
I've been enjoying your build thread, very helpful to me!

Ah, I use a graupner MC20 - seems a decent enough transmitter
The DX10 was another option when I was trying to decide, but thats a few years ago so there's probably alternative options
Yes its good to see other fumotec owners work to check you're doing it right
