has anyone built or is there a commercially made one to buy? thumb i mean,im looking at the komatsu PC 490 kit from CSMI,and would like to add a working thumb.if anyone who builds would be willing to build one for me,ill pay what it takes,i dont have the skill or ability to build anything anymore..lol..well ever..:rolleyes:
btw: is csmi in business?.ive sent two emails lately and havent heard back.one was about three weeks ago..the other was just the otherday,so im sure they havent seen it.

Guess csmi is 1 man company, possible have main job in addition, possible on travel now and then. Someone have asked the same question before if I recall. He will for sure come back to you when available. (or your mail ended in spam mail, possible try send from another email too)

That's a neat lookin website, I'll look more into that.
I've got a 946 that I designed a thumb for, rough mock up printed and placed, then I realized the 2 additional fluid lines are in the way and it won't work without looking good. Fortunately I have a 4200xl that needs ( not really) a 4 way valve to accept a thumb. Perhaps in the coming months I'll enlarge the current thumb to match the new bucket and go from there. Did you end up getting an excavator?
