RCT&C show Jan 2020 - new site, Lebenon Indiana

Hello everyone, Izzy here.

For the Jan show we have some changes. Hopefully for the better

Dates
Site opens for set up Thursday Jan 30th at noon.
Fun starts when were done setting up.
Site closes Sunday Feb 2nd at noon.

Location
Boone county 4H fairgrounds in Lebenon Indiana. Centenial Hall North.

What's different
Space - much, much larger. We have about 4 times as much space. More than Indy ever was.
But were gonna share it too. I've invited the local Micro Miniature pullers group, their gonna do a sanctioned event.
And
Scale Rock Crawlers guys will have space too. Their bringing in a course to play on.
And
The general public - they are welcome to come see what we do ( non participatory, no public walking in the demo areas...)

Public hours are 10am to 6pm Friday and Saturday.
Site hours are 8am to 11pm

Driver fees
Rc truck guys will have a small fee to cover duct tape and help fnd the kitty for incidentals.
Crawlers will govern themselves for cost
Pullers will govern themselves.
The site cost is covered in part by a grant.

So please put it on your schedule and come out to play...

Oh and one more thing, I'm working on having a food truck their for lunch..... we'll see what I can get accomplished.....

Who are the Pulling and Crawling groups we're working with?

If we already pay to play 1/14 Trucking, are we also going to need to pay to also play 1/10 Crawling?

These events have the potential to be be so much bigger and better than are currently are. There seems to be very little information shared.

Totally voluntary. No pre registration.
We have a new bldg at the fair grounds. Space should not be an issue

I have been a member of these forums for a number of years now, but the extent of my participation in the hobby to date has been following along on here, FB, and youtube. Is this event open and active for folks who dont have anything to contribute, or would I just be behind a barricade watching. Its about a 3.5hr drive for me. Im not asking for someone to hand over control of a several thousand dollar piece of equipment, but I would like to be able to converse with the owners of the equipment and look at this stuff up close.

Bigger events we control who's behind the crowd control tape. Some events like this have a driver fee.

- now till were tired. Start around 7 or 8. Pack up on Sunday
Partnered with

Public viewing encouraged.
$15 trucking driver fee

Apologies to our event attendees, as many have noticed and a few willing to comment, the micro pullers are rather noisy. I have witnessed them in other venues and was not nearly as noisy.
We have quickly decided to not have the nitro pullers with us again. Great hobby, great people, but it simply does not mesh well with ours, especially indoors.
They will be pulling from 2 to 6 tomorrow. Their event is nationally sanctioned so I cannot simply refuse them what we agreed to.
Once again. My appologies.
We have earbplugs at the site to assist and minimize discomfort.

Very cool, there are lots of great people coming together from many different aspects of the toy car hobbies.
Kinda hard to talk to each other. Huge thanks to whoever brought the earplugs! (I guess this is what parents mean when they talk abot "indoor toys" vs "outdoor toys")

I just noticed in a couple pics my forklift sitting on a dock changes to someone elses of the same model. I would have shared my pallets and racks if i'd seen it.

I love that Uhaul load! Is that Uhaul truck RC?

The nylint u-haul outfit isn't rc *yet*. But he was looking really hard at a bunch of the other toy conversions... It's more 1/16 scale, i think some wpl might work under it. Kinda cool seeing that setup, and a tonka Winnie with a u-haul.

I've been trying to find one of those box trucks, or some semi trailers for a while, they're pricey.

A thank you to all who came out to have some gun.

I was s bit surprised as to how many did not take advantage of the Thursday and friday, but day tripped for Sayurday.....
A big thank you to those who helped set up and tear down.

We will be in this building again next year in the winter.

We look forward to seeing you all again at the back to the fifties show
