Hi all,

Here are images of my first build-a Freightliner Cascadia Evo. My father drove for Yellow freight for 25 years so I did it us as such. I am planning my next build, a custom King Hauler.

This is a beautiful truck. I didn't think I liked Cascadias, but this paintjob have converted me. Great work.

That's a really sharp looking truck! It definately catches the look of that fleet.

One of the Yellow terminals is near me so i see them around constantly. Since your dad drove for them that long, any insight on a stupid question i've always wondered: WHY is the 'Yellow' fleets main color Orange?

The founder of Yellow Freight had originally named the company Yellow Cab Transit Co. in 1924. In 1926 he had shortened the name to Yellow Transit Co.
The color is actually called Swamp Holly Orange and the company was looking for a color that could for being seen from a long distance.
My truck is actually painted in the same Swamp Holly Orange.

Thanks for the compliments on the truck. It was my first truck build and I am planning on my next truck, a modified King Hauler. It will resemble a Kenworth Aerodyne. I have already started it a little and will start a new thread soon.
