Bruder CAT Excavator Hydraulic Conversion

Just about done with this conversion. I originally went with homemade actuators but did not have machine tools and things started to go south after a few uses. So I decided to grab a mini mill and mini lathe from harbor freight and teach myself about how hydraulics and machining. I used mostly brass for the rams except for aluminum (6061) pistons. The pump has a aluminum housing with steel gears and the valve is aluminum and brass as well. I built a 4 way valve at first but after a few conversations I decided to go with a 3 way and make it smaller along with the pump. I was able to make the pump and valve much smaller with the same output. For the model I used aluminum, brass and 3d printed parts (thank you NebraskTrever for the pivot files) to add support and make some pivot points much stronger. All in all I am satisfied with the results. I will try and post a video but if I cannot, I will comment with a link to a facebook page I posted on. Thanks for the look

I'm seeing nothing. If you tried attaching images to your thread, this site does not allow that. I can't blame them, images burn up a lot of storage so by not keeping the image files on this site it costs less to maintain this site.
