GT Power

I have a GT Power Construction Truck, sound light and vibration unit (entry level) which despite my best efforts I cannot get to work. Perkins say there is nothing wrong with the unit, so I can only assume it's down to "pilot error". I have it connected to an Orange RX and it doesn't work period. I have looked at the YouTube video and they don't seem to fully explain the connections you need. Any one help please.
