Actuator to open hood

I'm building a custom Shapeways Kenworth style truck. I have installed one of the metal Cat engines under the tilting hood. My question is has anyone ever used a servo or actuator to open the hood from the remote on their truck? I have the hood hinge mounted and working, but I thought it would be neat to operate it from the remote. Thanks

That should be an easy enough thing to create.

How much force to open hood?
Where do you want the tab on hood?
How much angle do you need it to travel?
Where do you have room to hide a servo or linear?
Do you like Bowden cable, Z-bar, Rodends?

I used a Hitec HS-56BB servo mounted to the underside of the frame between the spring.
