What happened to all of the truck drivers out there not saying anything about a NATIONAL truck show in South Bend, IN this weekend?? I get home this AM and on the front page of the S. Bend newspaper is a line up of big rigs all polished up for the show. Granted it is the American Truck Historical Society National Convention and Antique Truck Show but I would have thought a few of the truckers on here might have mentioned it somewhere. Looks like I am going to have to make a road trip to S. Bend tomorrow to see what is all there. Hopefully, there will be lots of old rigs to see and take pics of. Pic in the newspaper has at least 2 Petes and a KW in it plus a bunch I can't make out.

Lynn, sounds like a good time. I'll be looking forward to seeing the results of your trip! Old is good, too!

Thank you, see you in August,

Jim

Well, to say that Sat. was a total bust is an understatement! Started off with finding out that the furnace quit working, started the day off with a bang. Figured I would go to the truck show in the PM- no big problem there until about noon when mother nature decided to interfer with plans. It started raining about 12:30 and didn't stop until apx 5 PM. So, I did not get one thing accomplished Sat except a little time in the basement making some light units- not very many I might add. So no pics of anything :mad:

I hope Sun. is a much better day!

Yeah Lynn having never gone myself I guess it's one of those best kept secrets that I'm told is really neat to see. I was told the mud kind of put a damper on things this year but if you ask me getting a little muddy would have been worth it with the pics I saw from the show.

My boss and his boss (a guy I'll just call The Man) went to it this past weekend with a dozen or so trucks. A Mack Superliner, some older Macks (believe 1 or 2 B models and an LJ), unrestored Bullnose Kenworth, Kenworth A-model w/ Holmes wrecker just to name a couple.

I'm hoping one of these trips I'll get to tag along if we're not too busy in the shop.

Sounds to me like there ought to be some RC trucks at that show next year!:)
