I’ll try to get more information about it. The commercial seems to have been made for Acura of Temecula. Temecula is just south of where I live and I should be able to get further info easily. I’ll call tomorrow and do a follow-up.

Ann at the Honda Corporate Office in Orange County, California is going to do research for us and answer the question of whether or not it’s CGI or a real build. If it is in fact a real build, she will find out who built it and where we may possibly get the parts to customize our own. She said this process may take a few weeks, so please be patient. I will post the information ASAP.

First, I'd like to apologize for the large font in the last message. I didn't realize how it would 'scream' at the reader.

Second, I've received a response about the commercial. As follows:

I have been advised by our advertising agency as follows:
The truck was a CG (computer graphic) model. It was built based on
existing CG models and modified to avoid any other truck builder's
intellectual property.

Best regards,

American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
National Advertising

It's unfortunate that it was CG. I know that I was in hopes that the possibility of a new manufacture of truck model, or at least parts would have been interesting. Oh well, at least we have the creative members of our club to inspire us.

You know, I just watched it again, and if it was an RC. It would have been BIG.

Look at how the car is a little over a square long.

The truck is about a square long. That would be like a 10' RC.. :D

Sucks to be CGI though...

Thanks
Cody

Thank you for taking the time to find all this out about the rig, it would have been cool if there was someone putting out this rig or even after market parts for this.....Man what they can do with CGI
