"Wow" is right! Very innovative and cool. The driver has a lot going on when he's operating this thing, and a lot to watch out for - I first thought there'd be a second guy up front running the rear plow - but not. Wonder where he goes for operator training? Nobody's going to pass him with the rear kicked over!

This will be Freddy's next build, eh Freddy?! :D

I've never seen anything like that before and it seems a bit unusual for one gov't employee to be doing the job that normally takes two. :p

Wow, that's awesome. I have never seen anything like that around here. These must be kind of rare. I know in my state, motorists are never patient around plow trucks. A set-up like that would drive them all crazy, not being able to pass the plows.

It's def in the states. So must be somewhere that gets a ton of snow and the motorists know stay behind it or get stuck... I can agree though that if it where here in Ohio nobody would wait for it

A MODOT individual made this setup and MODOT now owns several newer styles now. Interesting to say the least. If you need pictures I can get anything needed. We also use types that carry liquid tanks for salt brine or beet juice.

that is really cool
I can't see the highways authority in the UK ever getting them in to plow the motorways over here (the UK's equivalent of the USA's Interstate) in winter

We also have one of them here on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Emcon runs a tri drive Sterling with belly plow pulling sand box on the trailer. Short vid

Ran it here all last winter and was a big hit.

Its definitely MODOT, plowing the only little traction off of the 1"-2" of ice. Cool vid though.

Pennsylvania tested some last year and are using I think 12 of them this year in a cost saving move (plow more road with one truck instead of 2) I can't wait as a fireman for the 1st time someone tries to pass the plow and @$$ends the tow plow

states that get "real" snow, people understand you cant drive like you would if its 80 degrees and dry outside. they pass and drive like idiots like lets say for example here in New Jersey where i live. I pull at least 20 people out of ditches when it snows here just for fun!
