Hello all. I hear about this plastic called delrin and was told by a couple people it would work good for my project. Any idea where to get it from? Ive searched on here and seen guys that used it but im not sure where to get it. Id be looking for a sheet or however they sell it. Thanks for the help!

Hi,
Online Metal store is another one... They name it acetal: http://www.onlinemetals.com/plasticguide.cfm
http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?id=181&step=2&top_cat=181 but I don't know if their prices are good...
Hope we will see that project soon!

In my experience Mcmaster is right about the best pricing around on Delrin, unless buying a whole lot of it.

McMaster Carr is a very good place to get it from. You can get black or a light tan color. Just be aware of it's drawbacks. Paint won't stick to it. Almost impossible to glue it. It will melt if machined too fast or with dull tooling but what plastic doesn't.

Thanks for the input! I'll have to check that out. Ill be using it in an area where it wont be seen so paint and what not arent important. Thanks again guys. Big help!
