Hello to everybody,
in this thread I´d like to show you some pics of my first King Hauler. I´ve built it in 2009, then did some changes in 2010 and finally finished it this year.
I´am not gonna show pics from building the frame, I think there´s enough in other threads!
The first change I did was the front lights. The original Tamiya lights look somehow sad, so I chagned them and made the tractor look more like a Kenworth, with two lights each side.

I used the rear bumper to cut out the bulb-housings with a dremel and used some clear plexi to cover the 5mm LED´s.
After Building the tractor together it lokked kie this:

I also put some LED´s behind th dashboard, hard to make a pic!

The tractor sat fo a while like that, but then I wanted a different paint-scheme on it, so down with the old paint!
This is the final result:

After a week of re-wiring all the lights and putting it back together it came out like this.

This was last winter, we had some snow outside, so let´s put the rig on the ice-road!

Then I finally got me a new trailer this year. A good friend of mine with alucky hand on graphics got me some nice stickers for the container, reminding me of the good times I spend in the states on vacation!

Well what else is different from the original kit? The front bumper is from M. Fischersworring, made of polished Aluminium, the rims are from Stellamodels, the support-legs on the trailer are motorized and I used some 60 LED´s for the lights.
The tractor and trailer communicate via infrared, so no wires between them.
Now I enjoy driving this rig!

You're truck looks great! I am glad to see you left the spoiler black, I have my king painted silver, and was thinking of leaving the spoiler black as well...where did you get the black middle pieces for the rear rims? they look awesome, would love to get some of these.

@Rev73

The center caps of the rear rims are screwed on with 8 small screws to cover the wheel-nut. They´re Aluminium-rims, not the original plastic ones. So I painted the centerpieces black before I screwed it on.

That's a unique, and nicely done paint scheme! Are the dual square head lights from the tail light of the truck and trailer bumpers?

Yes, the dual lights are from the rear bumper of the tractor. After beeing cut out and shaped to the right size they look like this:

I cut a piece of clear plexi to size for each light, in the light fit 5mm LED´s perfectly.
