I got the idea for this truck from pigeonfarmboy at Indy and when I first heard the idea I wasn't sure but it kinda grew on me so I built it. Thanks for the idea Nate. I still need to finish the bed and paint the cab, let me know what you guys and gals think.

Travis . That thing is awesome. You must have been scratching your head to get that screw drive in there. You won't need forty acres to turn that rig around!!!!!

Thanks Rob and like I said I can't take the credit for it it was Nate's idea but I just could not resist building it. The dump bed is operated by a hi torque servo and it has plenty of power for whatever you put in the bed.:D

Funny. I didn't know Tamiya made a Smart Globeliner dump truck. Ha.
You should build another, and make it a tractor. Build a really short dump trailer for it, that has the trailer wheels just behind the drivers and 5th wheel. It would be good practice for backing up!

Nate you send me a truck kit and I will build you one.:D
For those of you that are curios here are the specs on the truck.
Total length tail gate to bumper= 9 3/4in
Cab= 4in
Bed= 5in
Wheelbase= 5in and just so you know the distance of the tandems on a stock truck is 4 1/8
Thanks for looking.

Nice work! Out of curiosity, is there any such 1:1 truck and if so, what is it's purpose?
There probably isn't and this is just for fun, but I couldn't help but wonder if it is actually based on anything.

Hey SWAGGER, the closest 1:1 truck would be a mobile home toter.

It was built just for the fun of it and it will be a great truck to run around at the shows.:D

It is driven by a Carson gear motor to the stock Tamiya axle.

Travis,
That has to be one of the coolest thing I have see. I have to agree with gun when you jump it not only should you have a cape that pops out but also little jet engines.

took me a while to find this thread ( didn't want to start a new one ) .
I was LMAO when I saw it in Indy this past weekend .
And Travis pulled of a cool show with it too ... made it jumping while he was driving ,
that was just to funny ... I need to search thru the videos if this fun-driving was captured from somebody .
We need to build some more of these type fun-mobiles .
Maybe a building contest ? When we just have to get us a laughing-meter .

Thanks guys it was fun to build and a blast to drive. The little truck was a big hit at Indy and I thought stepside's dad was going to fall off his chair laughing.
I have another fun truck in mind. I am thinking of changing the name of this thread to "My fun truck building thread".
