I'd just put one black light inside the trailer and let it roll with style in the dark. There'd be light coming out everywhere.

Since we didn't want the grind marks like the test units we had this one laser cut - the guy estimated like 6-8 hours of cutting or something - he thought I was nuts for even agreeing to the job!

Laser vs Water jet? - around here Laser tends to be less but has limitations. Thicker materials are best suited for water jet but the curf of the cut starts to be an issue...my laser guy can go to 1/8 alum or 1/4 steel. At work we can laser 3/8 steel. The high end newest lasers on the market can do upto 1" steel. Ive heard of water jet machines cutting granite several feet thick...so they are powerful.

In general lasers are more common than water jet.

I've only been around my neighbor's waterjet-still learning about the beast.
They are trying to get me to learn the software, for designing my project's.
I forgot about the kerf issue, Yes I understand your point.
The waterjet sure helped me out awhile back, I needed 3/4'' sqaure hole's cut in 1'' AR steel plate, for a crusher wearbar.

Big pile - a - pooooo..... Was down to the last bit of work last night and my chamfer tool slipped and ruined the whole top cover plate. Ordered a new one today... In a nut shell - the chafer is soo deep the flat head screws nearly pull through...... wp much for not running a test piece first.......

yes it does .... the fab shop can't form the tabs for the top to be flush - so their high by 1 mtl thickness....

a bit of a bummer - but I dont want to sprint for the several hundred $$ in tools..... yet...

That's Beautiful Izzy!!! I'm gonna need one soon. I'm building a layout in the yard based around having a cow processing plant. The Bull rack will deliver the cows to the cow pen that's connected to the processing plant. I also have a dump truck operation, that's going to be part of the layout. My computers down, and I can't upload any pictures yet. I can't wait to see the Million Lights lit up on this thing!!! Sweet Bull Rack!!!!

Thanks :D. I would have to ask Mr. Ric about that. I'm not sure lol. I'm gona run a 12 volt battery for the trailer. So I'm using 5 lights and no resistors :D. Hope this helps

He's wirig strings of 5 led's in series and then those sets in parrallel to a 12V battery set-up. Each LED is 3V. You wire 5 because a 12V NiMih pack actually tops off above 14V most times.

Didn't you hear it was prob a " a g.d. politician" so they weren't answering. Lol

It looks great and super bright and as glory said I like it but dont know if i could do it because that's a lot of wiring to do. Can't wait to see it rolling behind a nice rig.

Yes and no lol. I've got to get a toggle switch and a deans plug to wire to it before its finished :-). Just have a couple wires stuck in the deans plug to light it up right now :D.

I thought that you were going to put some lights on that trailer maybe if you added some under the trailer to light up the ground it might look good. LOL. Dude that trailer is insane I love all the lights hope to see it at Indy this year, does the tractor that is going to pull that bad boy look like an airport runway as well. Great job.

Its got a few on it :-). There's still room on it to put several hundred more :D. Actually o thought bout putting some under it :-) I'm just thru with it rite now :D. Thanks it will be there. As far as the truck it's kinda sorta maybe gona have a few lights :-)

Thank you very much RCT. I am but I can't take all the credit. I couldn't have done it without Izzys help :D. He built the trailer and I wired it :-). This is the first thing that I have done for myself. I usually have somebody else do it for me cuz I usually don't have time to :-) lol. There are alot more talented people here than me tho :-).

VanDerBrink is about 30 mins from me but the owber has around 25 set ups like that the driver owns the truck and Al Vanderbrink owns the trailers but most cattle set ups are like this loaded with lights and the back of the trailer wrapped..

Sorry, I was more referring to all the chicken Lights on OTR trucks and trailers. You dont see nearly as many flasy looking truck and trailers these days. Seams I am even seeing more bull haulers with fleet spec junk Freight shakers. just all around the trucks on the roads these days are not as nice looking as say in the 70s 80s and 90s
