Im brand new to the whole Mini largecar scene, Im currently building my first truck which is a tamiya king hauler and dry van type deal trailer :P. Im currently building the chassis of the truck which I,m stretching 6" with a kit I orderd from Gardentrucking. But! I can't go any further because I wanna know if I have the correct servo's or not, which I have 2 HiTech 645's which after reading some threads I might have the correct ones for the job:confused:. I also heard that installing the MFU while constructing the truck is way easier than after it is built:rolleyes:. I also orderd the electricl kit for the truck and the light kit for the trailer which the truck won't be complete without in my opinion(also I think the trailer is a little on the short side). So while I,m waiting on parts I,m gonna research a little bit more on stuff but im glad to be on board. This website is the highlight of the year for me ;).

Welcome aboard and yes it is easier to install the mfu during build up then after. Do u already have one? Reason I ask is that the electrical kit that you have and mfu carry a lot of the same light functions so you wouldn't need both. As for your servos those will work fine, it may be more than needed for the shifting but it won't hurt it.

The MFU does everything the light kit does and more. You would either use the MFU or the light kit not both.

the electrical kit is the old version for the tamiya trucks before they upgraded it with the mfu that also has the sound and vibration unit you should use one or the other i think you will prefer the mfu it gives you more features
