Hello, I have been making large model excavators for over 40 years, a military airframe propulsion engineer by profession, I scratch built 1/12th radio control models until 9 years ago. Poor eyesight sent me back to Meccano (Erector). I have built a Rapier 1400 walking dragline and an Hitachi 1200 hydraulic backhoe in Meccano. I have also built in 1/12th scale Cat 777 truck, Cat D 10 and 992. Also P & H 1900AL electric rope shovel. My photo's appear to be to large for the thread, I'll have to crop them for posting.
