Hello all been looking at all the construction equipment and rigs on here and all I can say is wow. Don't have any real r/c experience YET but just doing some research on what my first build is going to be. Anyways just stopping in to say hi and can't wait to get started.

Its funny you say that because I went to WIU and then worked in Macomb for a couple of years. So yes I know exactly where its at.

looks like some sort of meet brewing. As much as i'd like to make it out to eastern pa, i think central illinois would be a lot of fun...

I'd be all for getting together somewhere..like I said just getting started and it would be really nice to see some of these in person to see what i'm getting myself into. YoungGunz do you know of any good hobby shops around this area. Looked online and didn't really see anything around here.

Not so much.... the best hobby shop that is around here is in moline (Thunder Road, i think) and they are pretty small and focus more on off road racing and smaller helicopters and dont carry much scratch building supplies. Talked to the owner the other day and he was interested in seeing the semis and construction equipment but i dont see him carrying anything any time soon. Really nice people to deal with and they will order stuff for you if they can get a hold of it.
