Check out this video of a tow truck driver losing his load and truck over a cliff in Norway. Watch the tow truck driver bail just in time unfortunatly the driver of the truck being towed didnt get out. I beleive the article I saw said he suffered some broken bones and other injuries.

I saw it on the news this morning.

People should leave tow driving to the professionals.

Looks like the tow truck was in good position for the turn ahead, but the driver of the rig being pulled wandered a bit too wide and dropped it on the shoulder. After that it was all over.

I seen it on the news....makes me wonder, did the tow truck driver jump across the cab to bail out? Since i am assuming theyre right hand drive trucks. Also I know if i was the truck driver I would have that feeling of that truck tipping over the edge as a reaccuring nightmare....scary stuff

Look at the first part of the video you can see they are left hand drive trucks.

And how would a professional have handled this?

the semi being towed had almost no thread left in his tires so it was like a 40 ton sleigh rather than a truck.

well lucky boys... first hate to be the one to ring the boss after that. Im wondering if both trucks chained there tyres. Also shows how good the side rails are with trucks.

the tow truck was chained and had its tag axle lifted
but the semi had only laid the chains in front of its drives

The semi had only one chain compared to 5 stated. On drive axle there was summer tires, this is a common problem up in nothern part of Sweden-Norway-Finland with trucks coming up from southern countries.
If semi driver had followed rules/law he had made it up himselfs!
The tow truck driver was an proffesional but that's sometimes not enough when you have a .... in the other truck.
