I would like to tell everyone how proud I am of my son Travis, he has been in the fire service as a volunteer for three years. within the last month he has finished and passed his 166 hr. essentials class for firefighting and today in the mail he recieved his license for Pennsyvania's emergency medical technician. In may he will graduate from Avella high school.

Way to go! It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get all the certifications! I thought I'd never make it through EMT school but I did and even went on to become a medic.....now 16+ years later I'm glad I stuck it out, living the dream of a Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic. I know my Dad is very proud too. Live the "Dream" Travis. Congrats Doug.

Congrats Travis, that's a **** of an accomplishment for a guy of his age, while contending with high school.
