Check out crawler innovations for the new closed cell 2 stage foam he sells. It will support the wieght of the rig yet still allow some confomity to the surface.

Here is a link. I hope it is O/K to link to a vendors site.

I read somewhere, that pool noodles could be used for tire liner's, are they stiff enough for you? http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&qe=cG9vbCBubw&qesig=3t9D836dyy7Z-13sHHZ9yQ&pkc=AFgZ2tmeoEhplmHFu4SKfGReKvjC9svtE7oWCCONTfcJHG FaVPkaMLAnEVn5C4ff8HmDerZ0DCthBg1VdwEsO0XpxuN4b45r dg&cp=7&gs_id=3&xhr=t&q=pool+noodles&qscrl=1&nord=1&rlz=1T4GGHP_enUS445US445&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1024&bih=603&ion=1&wrapid=tljp133539813817804&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=4462683768431065743&sa=X&ei=-46YT4SvKaidiAK00oThDw&sqi=2&ved=0CKABEPMCMAA#

Darn! I'm wondering if the sidewall was filled up half way to start with? if that would be soft enough, or fill it the rest of the way if it's too soft? More brain cramp's!

Dumb idea maybe but what about great stuff sprayfoam?? It would be permanent buy might hold up? Maybe spray into a sandwich bag inside tire trim then take outof bag when it's fully dry? It's pretty tough stuff. And a can is pretty cheap. Just a thought, Havnt tried it myself yet....

I used camper tape on my Euclid front rims and it worked well. The tires hold up the truck and a 6lbs lead acid battery. I put plastic rap on the rim and rapped the camper tape around until it was the right size and then slid it off and crammed it into the tire. The tricky part is getting the tire streched over the tape but once it's in there you slip the rim back in and you're good to go! There is probably better ways but this was cheap, almost instant and seems to work.

It's just weather striping on steriods.:D It comes in various widths and thicknesses. People use it between truck bed rails and canopies ect. It has adheasive on one side. You can find it at an automotive or a hardware store.

Air rifle BB's packed tight into the tire, a bit of tire buldge still appears when you're loaded heavy.. the added weight helps for bobtailing too and locks the tire to the rim.
