You amaze me I?d go nuts if I cut a cab even half that much but hey it looks great so far. I love them older trucks. Can you say B model mack, no just kidding at least for now anyway!!!!! What color would look best on the frame? I was thinking deep green maybe or something along that line.

After you cut a couple cabs apart you start to get use to it.

Cutting it up and gluing it back together is the easy part. The hard part is putting on the filler and getting it sand down strait and smooth.

For the frame I would go with black or a darker gray considering the color choice for the truck.

Wow, got the ole table saw in overdrive LOL :p:p:p:D:D:D

No table sow for this one it is all done with a ZONA saw and hobby knife.

sweet gonna be a great build!

Thanks I just hope it turns out good or I am going to own an expensive piece of plastic.

watching this one for sure

Thanks I appreciate it.

I have been trying to find some better pics of this year of truck. Hanks truck pics are not helpful as they are like most I have found and the pics are taken from to far away. I have also looked at the AMERICAN TRUCK HISTORICAL SOCIETY photos page but they are not much better. I wish I had a truck close to get pics of or if someone had one close that could get me some good pics.

here is a link to the one you show earlier in the post,

I borrowed this 1 from hanks I remember watching it pull a lil red ltl ford out of a stone barn foundation 1 morning . IIRC , it started life as a cement mixer and ended life in their shop fire a couple years back . Well looks like they rebuilt it with a newer cab http://www.kramerstowing.com/Home_Page.php . Oh the driver of the ford , well lets say the description is not for the fait hearted 1

Nice job on the inner part of the fenders, looked like the most difficult part to me. I was wondering how you were going to do it.

Sorry Travis didn"t mean to be a pain on the Autocar body. The body does look great though can't hardly wait to mount it up. Now I gotta figure out what trailer to put behind it. Hope it's not causeing to many headaches.

Thanks guys, I do have a good bit of sanding yet before I start adding filler. I hope to do most of the filling with styrene and have very little actual body filler in the cab.

Love the old Autocar trucks, my dad use to have one 40 years ago with a 2x4 in the cab that held the cab up to shut the door. LOL

Thanks Brian and as for the grill I think 8 polished aluminum bars cut to height to match the opening and attach them to a thin piece of black plastic that can be servo taped to the back of the opening

Nice work Travis that came out great..

Thanks Paul.
