What Is This & What Is It Used For?

As many of you may know, I’ve worked on the Tamiya Tractor-Trailers for about ten years. :) I have recently found an item on Ebay that has my interest. I just don’t know what it’s used for :o, I thought it might be for a sliding 5th-wheel. I asked the seller and he stated that it was not for a sliding 5th-wheel, but it’s for some kind of locker. :confused::confused:

If anyone can identify what this part is and what it’s used for, I’d appreciate it. I still think it might be useful in making a sliding 5th-wheel. :D:D:D

at a rough guess It could be to secure the back of the cab to the chassis

That is the latch for the scania cabs. It holds it down when not tilted forward. Not a stock part that i'm aware of.I almost bought one for my globe.
