Susan and I always try to be something else :) :) can't wait till next year:cool:
I got it from rc4wd ....they call it a heavy duty flatbed transporter.....I know I keep saying lowboy but it isn't . I suffer from lowboy envy I guess. I always say, money isn't everything but right now..... To have the lowboy I want money IS everything! will post pics as soon as it arrives.... I figure sometime next week....

Hey D , yes I did extend 3" after the Clifford show. After talking to ya about it, then once I got the extensions in my hands I realized it wasn't so bad. Am I ever glad I did it, looks way more proportional to the cab and sleeper size.
Dude, you MUST go to Indy ! Don't get me wrong, Clifford show was my first and was awsome! Without it, I don't think I would have had the desire to make the Indy show happen for us....you will be amazed!!! RC heaven dude! It was RC heaven.....3 days ain't enough! This year was the 8th annual event, pretty sure it will be at the Marriott again next year. Event info is on garden trucking.com site.
Can't wait to run with ya again soon. Are we doing Clifford next year? I hope so, we gave the hobby great exposure . Let's do it again!
Oh yeah, decals are in the works. Little Mario and Susan decals for the doors and a main logo which was first suggested by Swagger months ago....the ying yang symbol with a S and M in each side. ( the evolution of the first idea of calling the company ying yang trucking prior to Susan getting into it ) ....so, it all works out....got a name, got a logo.
Speaking of which....I haven't heard nor seen Swagger posts for along time???
Ps. Can't believe I had the nerve to tell ya your gonna need a trailer to haul the gear.... If I keep this up, I'm right behind you:D:D:D

S&M has a new trailer!!!
I ordered this baby all the way from california like 9 days ago and its already here!!! You been asking for pics Terry, heres a few quick ones.
this baby is getting a light kit. about 20 led should do it....or maybe ill go Smiley style and put 120 :D:D I'm very happy. i have plans already for the deck. its too much shiny smooth black surface.....im thinking some checker plate strips along the deck, dot tape on the sides.....etc...
But hey, S&M needs to make cash and looks like we have our first customer! 1985kenworth needs our reefer. I'm sending Sue for this one.....see how it go's:rolleyes:

Is the large plate above the axles too much?
what kind of glue and prep would be recommended? the trailer is powdercoated?
Thanks for looking and dont be shy with any suggestions or comments.

The center plate looks good , I would rough up the finish to make sure it sticks better. Could use 3M double side film tape.
I hope your trailer is better than mine , I have have few problems, fit and finish isn't the best, the coating isn't sticking and the screws were coated over and the 1 drop leg don't work very well.

That's scary dude :eek: you just described the issues I have with mine to a tee ! Even the one leg don't work wel, just one! Overall , I'm happy with the look, tires and rims, suspension and built solid. It just ain't a show stopper... Ya get what ya pay for......guess I should have bit the bullet and contacted Izzy. In this pic the rear bar of the trailer looks like it has a shiney piece of aluminum or sheet metal.. i think if you add that to it as well with the decking the way you have it it would look killer and fit behind king bling perfect ;) I think it looks great! Dont forget to add your reflective tape :)

Thanks Aaron, I see what your saying...looks like I'm buying more checkerplate:D:D
Ohhh yeah, dot tape on order, company logo on the goose neck and a larger logo on the middle of the deck, rear tail lights marker lights and mudflaps, etc....It's gonna be sweet. Time is of the essence, not going to start the major rebuild on Susan's truck till outdoor trucking season is over. I got till then to get this trailer done and then focus on her rig... :D:D

I like the diamond plate. looks good. The tread on those trailer tires look more like drive tires for the truck rather than trailer tire. If they're the same size try swapping them to your truck and the truck tires to your trailer and see what it looks like. Congats to you and mamma on S&M trucking.

Thanks for the input :). I like your idea, I'm going to try swapping tires and if it looks good I guess I'm going to have to order more tires for the third trailer axle:eek:... Ohhh well, between this 3 axle , my quad axle flat bed, and the other 2 trailers I got enough rubber to start my own tire company :D:D
Thanks again for the suggestion, have a great day !

I love the tires too. I tried them on the truck , they look mean almost too mean.:confused: Makes the truck look like a bush hauler , more gravel road ready. The king of bling is not a bush truck, she's a highway hauler. Besides the tires make the trailer look tough and can handle anything.

Sounds like a good plan to all the above. You could send your trailer but it has to go to the back of the line, and I would make sure it went back the same way...lol Send your cattle hauler, that would for sure end up with one of our logos on it..I want the cattle hauler and dump trailer for my truck..lol..

Hey SuperMario! just found an even easier way of painting the lettering on your tires, and its not messy! im currently using a Pilot super fine paint pen, got them at Staples, and I have them in silver and gold! the silver looks awesome! i tried the gold, looks great but not for my cab. gold would look awesome on your metallic King, and the silver on your wifes King! so easy to put on compared to the method i was using with the Tamiya paint and brush! when you apply the pen start at the top inside the letter, just let it run very slightly, it will fill the letter! when you have painted the logo TAMIYA, run your finger gently over the letters, this will remove the paint from the edges of each letter. to tidy it up, just use a pilot black permanent fine tip over the edges. looks amazing dude!
That's awsome Sharkey , thanks for the info dude
I'll be going to staples tommorow :D

your welcome, they are about 3 bucks each! they dont sell they white paint pens. only online, but i must admit, the silver is awesome! gold will look wicked on your King for sure! oh one more tip, practice on the inside tire walls first before you do the main outside ones, that way you can practice lol, and do them in silver and the gold, then decide which colour will lokk good for your trucks! my 2 cents is on the gold for yours though!!!
Lol. Have you noticed how many tires I can practice on? Current inventory is 64 total. I like the gold idea as a contrast to all the chrome and yet is still added bling. Thanks dude:D

Real nice pics!! Congrats on the Wedico!!
Thanks man. It's my first Wedico. She's a real beauty.the fit and finish is great, door seams are tight, same with sleeper. It came with the original paperwork, was bought in June of 1990 by a hobby shop in California. The truck is structurally all assembled , the wiring is installed but nothing was ever connected! All the wire ends still have the tape on the ends! In other words , this baby has never been run! 22 years old and brand new . :D:D
Can't wait to get started on it but first things first.... Gotta get Susan's truck done, give the bank account a break for a bit then start. Feburary I figure sounds bout right....oh wait, it's a Wedico might have to wait till June!!:D lol

Heavy load you say?? How's about, 45 cans full of beer to be exact. 32 bottles :D:D in my backyard gravel road and no problem.......that's gotta be close to as much as your cattle hauler weight eh?:D
The road issue for Clifford..... Any chance of getting a different area to run in? Maybe more gravel ish?
You know what the real solution is.....kick everyone out of the food court, get rid of the tables and we got a huge concrete , sheltered area to run in all night long! Lol .... C'mon , you can make it happen :p

Hi Mario,
You know that is a Wedico Conventional or Freightliner not the Peterbilt kit right? Do you have the Pro chassis or the standard?
Yup, it's a shaker not a Pete. It has the standard one piece chassis and the plastic 5th wheel which I only like when the truck is hooked to trailer so I can't see it. .....it's gotta go. Anything metal available that fits or can be modified to fit the standard chassis ?
Oooops, sorry I just looked back in the thread and noticed I referred to it as a Pete.... My bad

The Wedico is a future project on the shelf right now but I'd like to remove the sleeper and make a dump truck maybe or keep it original and just add a few details.....lower the stance... ( of course :p ) Not sure right now.

Well the weather has been a little better last few days, warmer and no rain . cant make it to St Louis :( so i figured, good time to officially start the rebuild of Susans rig. There is still enough decent weather to do all the metalwork ( cut and strech rails, install 5th wheel servo, fab up deck plate )
then i can do the wiring and detailing in the comfort of the house in the dead of winter.
So the truck is all apart. First time tear down on this truck but my 4th time doing this to a truck....almost like reverse engineering...lol.
heres a few pics of the work so far. Step one, upgrade powertrain with new motor, clean inspect and upgrade to bearings in transmission, and finish with a 4:1 GRU from PMD :D.
Next is cut rails, add extensions and paint.
Enjoy :)

I really like those PMD reductions and now that they bolt on to the transmission they are very clean. The only draw back might be on a long rig you can use the older style for a reduction and a carrier bearing at the same time.
Have fun with your rebuild. How do you like the RC4WD trailer?

Hey Craig,
Ya, I like the new version GRU. So easy to install and clean set up. Also cheaper to purchase than the original GRU like in my truck. Fortunately on this truck we are only doing a 3" stretch so no issues with a super long driveline. Any longer and yes I agree the old unit would be better.
I like the RC4WD trailer. Very solid. Had a few problems at first with one of the support legs , got that working good now. There is a few paint chips which are now hidden under the checker plating and behind the DOT tape so all is good:)
Next project after Susan's truck is done is to install the wireless light kit I got from SS tronix and figure out how to install the motorized legs kit which is a little different than what RC4WD has mounted on this trailer.
I wish I could afford a loader or excavator for the trailer but 5 grand is a little much.....maybe in the future I'm thinking about getting a panzer tank instead. For a thousand bucks, that's more what I can afford:)

Got a small update on Susan's Black Passion build ( Personally, i like to call it "Black Ice" because the way the body shines and looks wet.:D )
Sorry Dwayne, no truck pics. Im building this one from the ground up, chassis first, then the body.... To be honest, I'm almost scared to start the drilling, wiring, mounting and all the handling of the cab:eek: I will deal with that later.
the latest is a new rear deck plate made from 0.032" aluminum. I didnt want any mounting screws visible so the plate is secured by the rear of the sleeper mount at one end, and the 5th wheel mounting plate at the other.
http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r620/Kinghauler2012/Black%20passion%20%20Pete/image-024.jpg
Next was work on installing the 5th wheel servo. I learned from my truck that a standard size servo barely fits :( what a pain it was, so. I purchased a mini servo this time. I was about to start cutting a slot in the deck plate for the servo arm when i thought what else could i do?
I suddenly remembered seeing a build thread when i first joined the forum where someone modified the lever to go under the deck ( I think it was Dreamweaver? not sure ).
this truck has custom aluminum crossmembers and the design is what gave me the idea to come up with this.........:D:D:D

The truck looks great, Mario. This will be a very nice edition when it is completed. The deck plate looks kinda foggy, maybe try and polish it? That way it matches the whole look of the truck. Great idea with securing the deck plate, that is the way I did mine, and it gives it a clean look.

Yes JD, your right about the plate is foggy. I realized I need to learn the proper way to polish the plates now the cutting and fitting is done. I went to the body tech section and found a post from Dabears asking about how to polish and got lots of good tips from the masters of the trade:cool:
Wish I would have seen the thread a few days ago before I went and used Mothers polish. Just as stated, the stuff made the plate foggy.:(

Thanks Dave. I really like the way the 5th wheel servo worked out. I will definitely do the same thing on my truck in the future:D
The MFU idea can only be done on Sue's truck thanks to the new PMD GRU mounted directly on the tranny:) my truck has the frame mounted version and there is not enough room in the frame rails to do both the servo and MFU .
Another benefit of the new GRU guys! :D:cool:
This will be my first small step into styrene work. I got my Zona saw and some plastic to work with. Plan on making a box to cover and protect the circuit board. Then I think I will just mount to rail with 3m double side tape?

The front bumper is just for mock up and the rear fenders are just laying on tires. Speaking of rear fenders, we wanted to stay with a clean, conceal what you can , look to this truck which immediately made me think of a idea i saw Dabears use at one point during his Globeliner build, mount the fender to the axle instead of the frame rail which allows you to make a low tight fit to the wheels.:D:D Thanks Aaron!
Using the leftovers of the 0.032" aluminum plate which is real easy to work with and yet is quite strong by the way:cool I came up with this.......

Hey Nathan,
As a matter of fact, I used Gorilla glue. I cut and glued a test strip to a scrap fender to check for strength and as I tried to twist or pry the fender off ( while mounted on a wheel so I wasn't twisting like crazy ) I actually bent the bracket and the glue held.
This is my first time using this stuff, not sure how well it holds up over time. If they do let go in the future, plan B is gonna be epoxy.

Thanks Chris. I'm not sure how lowpros would look. I have never purchased any yet and have only seen pics, and on a few rigs at the Indy show back in August. My first impression is the lowpros may look " lost " or too small for the wheel wells ? How much smaller in diameter are the lows vs standard size?
Also, I love the aggressive look of these tires. I don't think lowpros come in this style of tread pattern.
Loaded heavy.....
Those Pete wheels are dead awesome. First time seeing and BEST I've seen on ANY model truck.

Hey All ! I see alot of KW builds topping the thread list and thought this a good time to show the start of the King of Bling make over.
Now that Susans truck is a true Pete with fenders and lights.... well, my old cross breed looking truck aint gonna work anymore. :o
So I'm using the pete grill with the badge and swan off my truck for Sue's and picked up a KW grill for mine:D

http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r620/Kinghauler2012/image-5.jpg
the unfortunate thing is I remember scuffing up the surface before installing the pete badges so to install the KW in the right place i need to cover the damage. i ordered some of those side hood flames from PMD in hopes to cover up the blemish and place the kenworth side badge on them?? hope it works and if it works I'll post pics, if it dont.........:rolleyes:
Thanks for looking and comments.:)

Thanks for the comments everyone . Switching to a KW just seems like the right thing to do and the best part is, now I can put a set of Russ super 8 suspension under it:cool::D
Update on Sue's Rig : sorry Adam, didn't get a chance to take some pics. They probably wouldn't turn out due to the fact the truck is so shiny  lol .
Susan is definitely into this build, she did 3 coats of wax last night and then another 2 when she got up this morning!......hmmmm, or maybe telling me to pick up the pace:confused::p:)

LOL. I agree DD :)
Update on Sue's build:
Now with all the protective wax on the body it's time to tackle the marker lights. Been thinking about how to do without damage and be sure they are perfectly straight. I'm sure people out there have a few tricks how to do it, this is what i came up with and it worked really good.
Using graph paper i traced out the shape of the cab roof. cut it out and layed out the light pattern. Then placed on cab and transfered locations with a sharp tip.

Black Passion build update:
Been making good steady progress lately and things are coming along great. Everytime i think im ready to start installing electronics, i find something else i want to do on the body or chassis:eek::D.
i should be installing and testing the mfu and motor operation in the next day or so. Also , still gotta go to the graphics dude in town and get the logos made!
anyway, here she is.............

Back when i installed my stacks on King of Bling I had removed about 1 1\2" of the pipes but seeing as I'm a mechanic and just cant throw anything away I kept the little peices and I'm really glad I did!:)
You may be able to see that i used those on the end of the elbows and they go right to the frame rails. It filled the gap between the steps and fuel tank perfectly:D:D

When you bring something like a 990 , that's like bringing a 50 cal . No other ammo required! :):p:eek:
Glad to hear you plan on attending, can't wait to see how many buckets to fill Susan's 3 axle end dump:)
Thanks Goose for the thumbs up. The headlight placement was tricky but I knew to get the look right they had to be low as possible. I never did take pics as I installed them but they are mounted to the stock grill with 2 mm bolts, nuts on the back side and some thread lock. I was able to wire and install complete on the grill first then mount on cab.
Getting these lights straight and perfect is almost impossible.:(
The driver side turned out perfect. The passenger side on the other hand is just a little off and not much I can do. The mould of the plastic is off a bit, it's where the lamp group meets the bracket is not square and has a slight tilt and twist.
I'm being fussy though, it's not like the lights are pointing off in all directions and ya really gotta look to notice so I quit filing and shimming and mounted the thing before I screwed something up! :(:D

Well, getting closer now. Tranny noise issue is fixed. Radio all set up and working great, chassis lights ok.
So it was time to test the 5th wheel operation. I was nervous at first. Wasn't working near as expected:eek: Due to the very short reaction arm on the servo I wasn't getting enough travel range to fully open and close:eek::eek:
Did some more bending and tweaking of the rod and now got it to this point.
Here's a video. I need opinions on if the latch is closing enough or will I have issues? No matter what, I refuse to have the arm come up through the deck plate! Worst case scenario is I put a longer arm down under the frame rails and come up with a new linkage

From watching the video a couple times I see one problem and here another. That servo should have more travel then that so you might want to check your end point adjustments. I can here the servo chatter when it is in the open pos so that tells me the servo wants to go farther but something is stopping it so I would check to make sure the rod is not binding somewhere. Remember as the rod is pulled back by the servo it is going to go down as well.

Thanks Travis , yes I agree not much travel... End point adjustment? How do I do that? I ran through the MFU SW1 setting . What else can I do to increase servo travel? Can I get a micro servo with single direction with more travel if I have too?
Oh yeah, I think I'm a couple splines off neutral position and the rod knuckle is catching on the cross member hole. Need to file down the knuckle a little smoother.

End point on elevator is at max. I adjusted the rod, smoothed the edge of knuckle and all is quite with the servo now. I tested the hook and unhook on my flatbed and besides the fact this truck stands a little taller than mine and I needed to add a little thickness to the leg pads, it hooks and unhooks great. Indoor testing is one thing though, wont know till spring when I get on some outdoor terrain and speeds if it may come unlatched or not.

Hey all ! S&M trucking now has a new loader! :D:D
I ordered this machine on Jan 4th. It left Spain on the 11th and arrived at my door on the 29th. That's not too bad for shipping time. I'm impressed.
Couple things I'm not impressed with..... At some point in its travel, the box must have been left upside down because when I pulled it out of the box there is hyd oil all over it:eek: the box was looking pretty rough and the loader did suffer some minor damage like a broken tab and a crack in the front belly pan frame section. No big deal, I glued the crack and installed a small screw to replace the plastic tab. The electronics and hydraulics install is well done and all fits nice.
The guy has great skills to do this conversion but needs to work on his packing skills.
Oh, one other thing. I purchased the lipo battery and charger with the loader but the AC cord it comes with has a plug which looks more like a sex toy than something you plug in the wall!
Lesson learned.... Never buy a charger or anything you expect to plug into the wall from a guy on the other side of the ocean:confused::p:rolleyes:
Pics are coming..... Have to finish cleaning the hyd oil off of it first:eek::mad:

This was by far the most tricky to install. To make them fit and clear the steps on the chassis and also fit the cab perfectly was a challenge:eek:
Fortunately I did not have to touch the cab plastic, just some minor hand file work, double and triple check fit on chassis and cab then altogether.... About 4 hrs later and now ready for the lighting stage:D

Awesome, Mario and Sue. That's a great logo! That will look great with the black paint on the new truck! Only thing is, are you going to stick the logo to the cab, or will you stick it to the fuel tank, or steps, like some companies do? I'd stick to the later. Keep that paint job flawless and clean.

Hey everyone. Getting so close to the finish on Susans truck and then ran into some trouble that i finally dealt with today!:D
Heres what happened.... i was mapping out hole locations for the lights in the plates Keith made for me. I marked them out carefully on the polished side of the plates because I knew there would be a burr left from drilling and didnt want to drill from the back side. Unfortunately, my metal ruler had a burr on it I didnt know about and as i slid it along the plate I scratched the crap out of the beautiful polished finish Keith did!!:eek::mad::mad:
Then I realized the rookie mistake i made! I could have marked the holes on the back side and just drill a smaller hole to start, then finish the right size from the front! ....lesson learned.
Anyway, I was so mad! this entire build was going great and suddenly when I caused damage I had to put the brakes on! I did some research on polishing, talked to Keith and some guys at work.
I finally got the nerve to give it a try and it was a complete success and I can now move on with the build! Scratches are gone, plates look great and i started wiring today.
I got these very nice, pre wired 1.8mm leds from a site Dabears suggested.
heres where Im at with the cab lights.

Mario,
Are you only running ONE 32 guage wire inside the sleeve?
I know the solution, and you're gonna kick yourself - don't use heat-shrink. Use some casing from a solid-wire a few guages up, like telco wire. Just strip it off the other stuff, and then thread the mag-wire into it.
Heck, that white 4-conductor stuff has yellow, black, red and green casings ya can use.
I've been using this method for other guages for years when I dinna want to use heat-shrink 'cause it would melt the wire casings, or sommat nearby. Also use it for scale wire-loom, handles, and other things...

Thanks Keith. I can't wait either:D
I'm like a kid at Christmas waiting for the tree to be lit up for the first time after decorating...lol
That's a great suggestion Whitewolf ;).
I need the shrink tube to seal and isolate the solder connection for the 2 main wires which will connect to the light relay.
Glad you like Nathan, I'm very happy how it looks. I think the combination crazy glue and then silicone should hold them all in place very well.... And yes, I like clean looking wiring, not birds nest wiring:eek::)
These lights have a 5-12 volt working range. I plan on connecting them to the aux relay on the SS Tronix board which has a 5 volt output. Not battery voltage of 7.2
Why do you ask? Am I forgetting something? I'm going to connect all 20 LEDs in parallel to a relay that can handle 2 amps or 60 led. I should be ok right???
Hey Dwayne.
No luck at the Source. The smallest they have is 1/4" tubing which is way too big for magnet wire. Good news is, I found some today at a local electrical shop!:D I'm good to go! No more hold ups!;)
Thanks Dabomb6988 . I'm very anxious to not only see it lit up, I've enjoyed the build but it's time to finish!

So I've just run into a set back on the Black Passion build:eek::(
I got the cab skirt lights all done, tested and looking fine. I attached them to the cab mounting plate and then that's when trouble came up.
When marked out the holes for the lights I used the same spacing as the sleeper lights to make it look right. Well, I just discovered I have one led on each side which is in the exact same position as the front mounting brackets for the steps!:eek::eek: no room for the LEDs ! I never seen it coming and I'm ^}%]*]% I missed that! Lesson learned. I was too focused on just the part and not where it goes!
Plan B - I need to screw the step to the vertical edge of the mounting bracket and remove the horizontal edge will work. Sad part is I have about 4 inches of slack because of the light wires for the step lights which are glued on! so I have to drill the steps while still hanging or mounted. The whole fix is going to be awkward as ****
It's been a rough day. I was ready to start dealing with the problem right away but thought.... I'm rushing this. I'm upset I won't get it done as quick as I wanted but hey, this build has never been rushed and had no big problems. Now I rush a little and look what I get!
So , I'm on a shutdown for the day! Grabbed a Bud out of the fridge, kicked back on the couch and I think I'm gonna watch the nationwide Bristol race and start fresh tomorrow.
Have to turn the brain off for a bit....lol. Thanks for listening :o

If there was one thing I would do different with the marker lights, I should have used 1 mm LEDs and solder in series one at a time. The pre wired lights are great to work with but sacrifice room due to the resistor and the 1.8mm size that I used.

Mario, the lights are looking great. You did a fine job. I had asked about the voltage you intended to run your LEDs on because I noticed you had a resistor for each one, rather then a couple in series, with one resistor. I just assumed your voltage source was pretty low. Anything less then about 6 volts, and you kind of get stuck running the LEDs in parallel. Even on 7.2 volts, you really can't do more then 2 in series.

Did you find any shrink? You might want to check to see if you have an 'Active Components' outlet in town, they have electronics stuff in-store. The other option is the paint-on electrical tape. Would have shrink beat by a mile. OH... in a pinch, dollar store nail varnish!
If you canna find any, and ~really want shrink, I've got an Active Components down the street, I'll check what the smallest diameter they have, and I can always mail it to ye!
Let me know. I'm going to need some anyway, for when I rig my Tamiya flatbed, Goldie lowboy, and the King Hauler/Globeliner cabs. Plus I owe the group a few favors by now...
Wish someone would post a DIY for the SMD-LED beacon lights. I'd love to see how they sequence 'em - 555 timing chip, or what? I ask as I made a 'scanner' setup years back when i was going to make a KITT replica in 1/8 scale, one that could talk back to kids by using a voice-actuated walkie-talkie setup. Still got the first one, and probably most of a second. Dunno what I did with the build/wiring diagrams though.

Hey everyone. Need to pic your brains...... You may notice the cab marker lights are brighter than the sleeper lights ( some is camera glare but they are bright) compared to the sleeper which are more of a "soft" look led. I would hate to have to replace and redo the lights and trying to come up with options on how to possibly mellow the lights out.??
My first thought is candle wax perhaps? I figured if it doesn't work, at least it's not permanent and can be cleaned out? Maybe a dab of paint? What color to use?
The lights are recessed quite a bit on the plates and not a flush or protruding mount. There is depth , maybe 3-4mm.
Any help is always appreciated and thanks everyone for all your comments and support through this build, it's been a great experience :)

Mario is all about clean lines, and quiet when he is videoing(LOL)- I usually leave the house, he's not afraid to try something new/never done
Just got word yesterday that the trailer is done. My Dad is going to pick it up when he is in Indiana the first week of April. So we all have to be patient a little while longer. :)
Patience grasshopper.....
You tell him Izzy! :p Patience! Once we get it the lights have to be installed, not as many as Smiley so it won't too much work, and a couple other things.

Mama has asked that I share her Happiness..... If there are things you don't like - hold your thoughts - I'll start a thread over in my area - I am planning to have a version of this trailer as a standard..... So constructive comments go there...... But general comments about MAmas dream machine can go here....

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
Mama - Should have enough grunt for anything you put at it - I would request you stick with light dirt (loamy type - high compost - loose ) or the crushed rubber . It's a big box to lift.
If it goes up too slow - let me know and I'll swap for a different motor set--up. or talk Mario into installing a 12V battery for the lift with a voltage reducer for everything else......:)

Really? I just figured it was the natural choice and had the room so I thought why not.:). Now that I think about it, I guess I haven't seen this on a Rc truck before. Thanks Nathan.

Thanks Izzy. I'm sure it will work great. I don't plan on loading anything dense with my bruder loader. The lighter the material, the longer everything will last ;)

Looks great Mario and Sue! Where is the 'Clifford' show? I know you are up in Sault Ste Marie, which north of me, but is that a Canadian show, or US show? Just wondering cause nothing much ever happens around me.

I figured if we polish first, then I have to handle very carefully as I wire it? That's why I thought, wire it while its in a raw stage and then polish? Never done this and would love any input or suggestions on how to approach.

Thanks Nathan. We both love it! You know the old saying....happy wife, happy life ! ;):)
Or as Phil Robertson would say....." Everybody's happy, happy, happy " lol
Sorry dude, Clifford is quite a ways from Wisconsin :( It is about 2 hrs northwest of Toronto which means you have to go all the way around Lake Michigan and back up north.
It would be great if you could attend but that's quite a trip for a one day event:eek: Hope you plan on making it to the Indy show in August. It would be a pleasure meeting:)
Classy truck and trailer Sue! Nice work Mario.
Thanks Craig. I can say without a doubt, I have loved every minute of this build, this hobby, and all the friends and fun that come with it.:)
Once this is done, my next project arrived today.... A crawler crane with clam bucket.:D:D . Ohh, and I still have 3 other trailers that need lights! ....can't wait to open up my shop in the garage soon!

I had my cattle trailer polished first then layed it on towels and rags and wired it. I didn't touch the outside. Usually just grabbed it by the little tabs on the inside or by the back bumper and the kingpin plate . Hope this helps :D
But I'm sure that I've got a few more lights on it my trailer than urs :D. Urs might be easier to polish than mine :p:D

Thanks Keith. It does help. The one problem with my idea of polish after lights are installed is the light holes may fill up with polishing paste and then be a real nightmare to clean them out:eek:
I'm going to take your advice and polish, then wire.....I learned a lot from dealing with the cab on Sues truck, I can do this the same.;)
Thanks man.

Thanks. It's a Canadian show, Southern Ontario. You could always head up here and follow us. I'm sure there is room for more people, 1985 Kenworth could tell you more.

Thanks. Mario and Izzy get most of the credit, I just knew what I wanted and they have made it happen. ;)
