Thanks, rc. I bought 1 before and you helped me with the settings. I thank you for that. I just ordered another one.

Did you two get your loader working? Do you have an esc on your pump for ch mixing with the valves?

He switched the sticks around for me which was my main complaint, wasn't natural to have the loader on the left stick. Never could get the mixing done for the pump (yes it has an esc) so for now it's just on it's own channel. He was going to look at one he had mixed at home on the same kind of transmitter to copy the settings. RC felt terrible about my drive motors, and possibly my esc, popping during the process was why I was giving him grief in this thread lol!

question: the rds8000 looks nice but, its fore air! not ground. i hope there is no flyers around where you use it. unless they (the company) changes the frequency.
any input on this?

Back in the days of Frequency boards I'd be worried, not so much with 2.4g. But I know what you're saying.

Airtronics RDS8000 8 CH 2.4G Crawler Radio Surface (2 Stick)

I would say by the description that they intended it for surface use.

The only difference in the crawler version vs. the areo/heli RDS8000 is the way it comes set up from the factory. They make it easier to set run 4ws and separate throttle control on a 2 motor crawler. Like sand farmer said with the new 2.4G radios frequency issues are minimal. The only ground vs. air radios are the less expensive ones that still use crystals, most of which are 2 or 4 channel.

I also think ground radio have stick self centering (4 springs) while air have only 3 axis centering (3 springs) plus one axis with a drag plate for the throttle.

so then, from what your saying the 2.4G radio will not work with the receivers with crystals in them? i would have to replace ALL my TR's?

Yes that's right, all new "bind-n-drive/fly" technology.
