Got this great little gift from the clan at Bull It Angus today of there truck "Hot Iron" you folks are seeing it here first not even the distributors have seen it yet so I am getting out the first photos of Weslys truck. This truck will be released in a very limited number there is not a final number yet but it will be between 140-359.

They sent me this truck as I will be building them a 1/14 Tamiya of the truck and trailer just now getting the parts rounded up and will be getting started this weekend on it..

Congratulations Paul on the recognition of your abilities.

Does an actual trk like that exist? What's its gvw & how does it scale?

Joe Ill get the specks on its GVW for you today I cant remember for sure so Ill ask first we have some crazy weight laws here in SD..

Joe you will like this.. This truck lives on a ranch works on a ranch runs gravel everyday and is still a show truck with major parts companies backing it every year here is a pick of it at one of the 9 shows it did last year.

No cab clearance lights on the model? The 1:1 truck has them, or is that an old photo, and they've since been shaved?

DCP gets them as close as they can so they did not do the lights or the 48in bunk or the single tire pusher so it is close but not perfect.

Nice score on the job Paul, you deserve it! Are you making the 1:1 version or the DCP version?

It's been nearly 20yrs since I grain hauled in the states working for an american harvester, primarily in Ks.. tandem end dump w/2 axle bd pup or tandem drive w/tri trl were both 85 500.. so SD is about the same for axle grouping...

Thanx for checking into that Paul to solve my curiosity. ;)

if it didn't have the pusher, and the trailer was a tri axle in sd with a spread under 10'2" then we would be 85500 in sd, if its a tandem truck with a tri spread at or over 10'2" i can go 88,000

That's a sharp looking tractor trailer! You see those kind of trucks all over Wyoming, South Dakota, Montana and Colorado with Bull guards on them, kinda normal around here to see that.

She is not show ready by any means right now..

Here is a pick of a show truck in the making.. This will be this years new show rig backed by some of the major after market parts companies. The boys and I went out and helped Wesley strip it down last Sat and it is off to the sand blaster this week to get the new stretched frame blasted and ready for paint.

So yesterday I went with a friend to the city to pick up his 07 379 short hood dump trk he just bought and drove it home for him... saw some good looking Petes on the lot with a lil bit of mild customizing.. one had really caught my eye, a 98 379 l/h f/t with fat stacks, C15 - 18 - super 40's w/3.90 - lot owner's personal trk... good thing I left my cheque book at home cause I was getting a touch of peterbilt fever! :D

...hope it goes away, those trks were pricy!

Well I can agree with you there, having grown up in peterbilt sleepers and cabs my priority is to buy a house right now. Second is to buy myself a nice project 359 extended hood with a 425 horse cat and build that puppy to no extent with my brother. Then afterward who knows, make it a parade truck or possibly an earner. There is lost definitely no cure for peterbilt fever lol.

This was the trk I drove home, I don't have a pic of what it looks like now.

I don't see owners trk listed, nor some of the others on the lot are not on the www either. He wanted a lot, about 20 more than it should be - I didn't ask why, it did look gooood, but it wasn't prisitine. I trk for 15yrs, primarily thru winter, mostly regional... I miss trking about as much as I miss cows... :D

I'm not allergic to truck's, just rough road's, hiway 13 is a good rough frozen waffle! That's in Saskatchawan for the rest of you out there.
