Hi
My name is Marcel and am from Germany.
I found this project in a magazine 17years ago, and now I got the time and money to realize it.
This tank is original used in the german military for scouting and transport.
There is a german company which tried to use this nice vehicle also for supporting in the reacue and firefighting, specialy for airfields.
The tank could be equipped with different kinds of water/foamguns, and I will try to reallize this in my modell also.
I will add some pics, time after time to show you my project in 1:8.

regards
Marcel

I have a lot of pics... But just saw that here is only a very small imagesize possible. So I have to minimize them...
Some facts:
The whole body is made from 3mm aluminium, welded. Only the drivercabine is made from Polystyrol.
The swimdrive has a 110W brushless, the maindrive gets an 820W brushless.
If you have questions, just feel free to ask. ;)

The swimdrive at the back:

The powerpack for the swimdrive, 110W Brushless with a 3:1 gear ratio.
Also the steering, makes able to turn the drive 360°. Its a compact unit, possible to remove and install very fast only with 4 screws in the tankbody.

The 6 rims and the drivetrain/axles I will order at a friend, he will build them for me. But I have to get some money, its not a cheap job ;)
Later I will build a 3-gear transmission, but that will be in the future...

That is the actual status:
Just build the flector, its to keep away the frontwave ifthe tank is in the water.

How is it possible to show bigger images???

You can get a photobucket account then upload the pics to it. Then click on the image code link then you can post it to your build thread :D.

A little progress^^ The 2 motorhoods. Under the hoods I will install 2 fans, 1 for freshair intake, 1 to blow out the warm air from inside.
