Hi my name is Jack, i`m new to the forums but have been surrounded by industry from a young age. I have great love for logging and the equipment used in it and have always wanted to build some of my own working models like my grandad use to when I was a kid. Except unlike my grandads models I intend to make fully working rc models rather than static ones. I have some engineering knowledge but would greatly appreciate any help and assistance especially with the RC set up as I have never done one from scratch.
I just have a quick question what scale do people usually use when creating construction and logging equipment?

Hello Jack, the common scale is 14th, as that's what the trk kits are & most of the constr machinery is tailored to work with them. Check out RcLogger and tracksandtreadslou in the Constr Equip forum, both have logging backgrounds from the BC area & have built various rc model logging machines... my best advice for you is start reading, there are threads full of information that spell everything out clearly. ;)
Welcome to forum. :)
