New kits

Ok, so I realized that I have issues, I am not a trucker or have ever sat or been around a semi truck, but I just can't get enough of these **** things, all I need is a Volvo globe trotter and I will have every semi truck that tamiya ever made. I'm thinking of a dumper for the MAN since I will not use any of the parts for my 8x8 as I originally planned, crane and flat bed for the Merc giga space, heavy hauler for the Knight hauler and a tanker Two axle water truck for the Aeromax. Obviously it will take sometime to fund all this but I hope I'm not going nuts here. What do you guys think?

Then again, I've not exactly got me full set of marbles. My SO is a siamese cat (and a cranky one at 17+ years) and then we can look at the motor pool:

- 2x Leo 1A4's, Leo 2A6, Pershing, Sherman, M41 & Pz3 chassis, & a T55;
- two Dumas 4' boats, Lindberg PT, Graupner 'Carina' & Seadoo, & 'Shark' sub;
- ~five~ Kyosho JGSDF LAV's, one+extras Robbe 'Rodeo' 6x amphib, Robbe 8x8 'Panther' firetruck, King Hauler w/ extra Globeliner cab, flatbed trailer, & a Goldhofer on the way;
- oh, and my Blade mQx quadrotor drone!

WAY Too much... gotta take pics and liquidate!

My Grandmother used to say, jump in head first. Having so many will help if you get to a stale mate with one you can start on another. This is a great hobby, and great forum of people with tons of experience. You will do okay as long as you stick with your budget for each-just like everything else in life, lol. Don't forget to post pics as you go...Good luck with all your builds. :)

He still hates the clutter, but " I'm not the mooch my nephew is " (and ~that~ ALWAYS shuts him up, ending the argument!)

LOL!! :lol: I know what you mean!! My son leaves for collage and will have cleaned off 2 of his shelf's and I plan to move trailers on them and make room for my last 4 trucks I have in the works..

Mike here...Due to the cost of these trucks I find myself with just 1 king hauler and the box trailer, but it is the pride of my rc collection which consists of several restored vintage tamiya kits.

yeah i do run them all Dawyne me and the boys and the wife. this weekend we are going to a semi truck show we go to every year we will run trucks all day for 3 days we are taking 9 to this show we do 7 truck shows a summer plus i have a area to run them at the shop too.

Only been messing with the trucks for 2 1/2 months already have one truck built (Aeromax) one pole trailer and a 40' container outfit there is also a king hauler waiting to be customised a little just waiting on a pile of parts to turn up and that is just the trucks
Also have quite a few 1/10 cars (three Tamiya F1 cars still in boxes)and half a dozen 1/8 trucks three HPI baja's and a 1/5 SCT and a 1/4 scale yankee F7 waiting to be put back into one piece.
Then there are the Planes balsa kits from Royal/Marutaka , Pica ,Top Flite and a 1/4 scale Balsa USA nieuport 11 and kits from several other manufacturers Then there are the Quads , Helis and a boat.
Mozza tells everyone that I don't have a hobby but I have a serious addiction.
If it is an addiction I hope they never find a cure.

Well, the way I look at things, 2 x weekends on the beer, waking up every Sunday, with nothing to show, but a hangover, = one nice truck if ya dont , and you have something to show for it, and its an investment.....bonus! So, get them while ya can mate!


that's what i was telling my old lady sharky :D but im still waiting to get my first truck but between youtube and the several forums im on i already have like 10 trucks a couple trailers a forklift, excavator, a couple sprinters, and a few cars already planned! :eek: now if the funds would just keep up! ;)

I've been in this for 25+ years and like some said earlier it is not a hobby....it's an ADDICTION. :D

I do need to thin down so I can concentrate on a few projects I have been tinkering with, including a custom King Hauler that's 4 years behind now. :confused:
