from what I am told, the stock king hauler frame rails are the perfect thing to use when looking to extend the globeliner.

Absolutely correct. That's how I stretched my globe and everyone loves the length on it.
Put my globe on the king chassis, liking it a lot more!

that looks great, what mods did you have to do to the king rails to work with the globe
Just had to drill the holes for the globe interior to fit the chassis

Dean,
I'm doing that mod myself. Just need to get meself a few metric taps (and mebbe dies too)
Think she deserves super-singles on the front though... and mebbe a spare tire rack to use up some of the extra space?
Just pondering...
Like the plain black though. Think VERY carefully before ye add any decals to it!

Received my rails from semijoe!!
Thinking of turning the globe into a show truck hauler???

personaly I like the length you have there. Is your globe on King rails? if so your at about 216" WB.... if you want it a tad longer just move the trunion mounts one hole back on the rails and drill the 2 new holes for the new trunion location. it will give you about another 12" of stretch, help bring that excess rear frame rail closer to the rear tires and look more prototipical.
.either way It looks like the "hot rod" cab overs of the late 70's . Big bunk, space between the tanks and tires. classic look!

Looks like a small window Pete cab. They are pretty rare now a days.
Hey guys,
I recently installed a MFU in my Globe,it works great but
One major dissapointment is the lack of power
I have the LRP truck puller in it,but that cant even get my truck
On up my drive way wich has a little slope,
How can i solve this problem?
The drive train is all original.
Thanks
Dean
If i understand correct, without trailer you dont have your full force?
Would that engine be a problem for the MFU when
I drive around with heavy loads?

On most of the builds I have done, I have cut that annoying switch off.
Find J12 on the MFU, should be green and black cable. cut, strip, join and either tape securely or use heatshrink and have full power all the time.
Our club has had a globeliner pull 27 trailers in this configuration without a problem.
Hope this helps.

Hey guys,
I,ve been enjoying my globe quit à lot, stretched my flatbed so i can haul my 9 year old around in the house and outside.
Now i want to get some more power.i have the LRP crawler special in it with an mfu.
I orderd the carson 4:1 reduction, but i am afraid i Will damage the mfu?
Is this possible?
Any help is appreciated.........

Nope youll be good. gear reduction just changes the overall output to the driveshaft not voltage to the mfu or electronics. motor is still spinning the same speed
Sorry about bad quality pic!

What about using lipo's with the mfu?i know
The mfu doesnt have a cutt of,but i really dont want to
Fry it...
Is it safe to use a 2s 5000 in my globe?

I have only used a 6 cell nihm in my truck. ive heard of others using a 2S lipo but no guarantees. if worried about cuttoff get a lipo low voltage warning alarm. it plugs into the balance lead.

The MFU should shut off power before draining the battery, when the battery hits a certain percentage it'll auto shut down the truck, then truck will start back up. that's a feature they put in it. now what the percentage is I do not know havnt tested that. I would run a lipo saver or something of that sort to kill power before killing the battery. LIPO are sensitive beasts but do tend to last longer and be smaller....

I use 5400ma @S lipo's in two of my trucks and a 8000ma in another.
I have had no issues at all, the MFU and all other equipment work perfectly.
I use a lipo alarm in all vehicles (Kinghauler, Globeliner, Aeromax and F350).
Three out of 4 of those vehicles have MFU's and the other has a 9Turbo and Tamiya speed controller with the Lipo low voltage cutoff. All you need to do is trust yourself and charge the batteries correctly, never run without an alarm (know of people who have paid the EXPENSIVE price for doing that, got to wonder where head is at?) and as soon as the alarm starts to sound shut down and recharge. Always a good idea to have a Lipo Tester, Equaliser and Discharge unit also. Am still running the Lipos I bought three years ago!
Still enjoying my Globe with the reduction in it
Now i can haul really heavy stuff!!
I am running it with a holmes hobbies 45 turn,
But that is a bit to slow...i want to change to a
23 turn, but i am afraid it will kill the esc in my MFU,
Any toughts on this?
Thanks

I would go with the stock motor before dropping down to a 23 turn motor. The stock motor should be a 27 turn motor. I run the stock motor with either a 4 to 1 reduction or 3 to 1 with absolutely no problem with the MFU.

A high turn motor that has lots of torque will work well.i tried an 85 turn motor,it wouldn't even move so i went to the 55 turn motor and its great and with our club truck i think i put a 55 turn in.that and locked it in first gear..its slow and has torque.the 55 turn will work with your mfu
I tried the stock motor, and its great!!
Now i have a nice speed, its a bit faster than
Walkingspeed with my 4:1 reduction.
Thanks alot for the help guys!!!!!!

Hi Dean, Dean here.
MFC doesnt have trailer lights on all the time I think. Lights in my trailer are a bit messed up atm so unsure. only my signal lights work lol. Think the stock trailer lights work same as your rear lights on tractor do.
Dean,
That problem is solved, taillights and brakes are the same led.......
