Hey guys I just wanted to share this with some of the truck nuts I know lurk on this board lol. I'm a member on a model truck board strictly to gawk at the perfect creations those guys turn out. I came across a build that a guy is doing that struck a chord with me. It's the truck from Maximum Overdrive, the happy toys "goblin" truck. The guy hand molded the goblin out of clay and was gonna cast it in resin as a mold. Gonna be a neat build, someone here needs to take a crack at this bad boy. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc34/nickgirdwood/scale%20trucks/CO_zpse97b7b08.jpg

What a great cheesy flick... Saw that movie as a kid and always loved it...

That Western star with a troll as the hood ornament was classic...

I also had given it much thought and had started to practice my 3d modeling in an attempt to 3d print the goblin head for a KH body. But a resin mold is pretty sick. Don't think I could touch the detail that guy pulled off.

Malfador65 i think i already spoke to you about it ,if you are the same guy.you said you do yours in 1/25 scale only.that scale is not big enough for these trucks

yes I remember you now.....the company that made the Head has what is called a 3D print file of it.....the guy who runs it is Mike.
this is his # 1 (407) 716-1690 tell him the scale you need it will cost you between $50/$100+ for a print....hacving a full clay version made will cost allot more...I paid $300+
for my version...I'm going to hire a new person to do the head ALL over again...much much closer to the film...I was never happy with Mike's partner...and they work for Disney HA! I had to Modify the Head somewhat.

Just so you fellas know, this picture I originally posted isn't my picture nor is it my build. I came across the build thread of that truck on a model forum in the truck section I used to prowl a lot. I thought some guys here would get a kick out of seeing how nice that guys clay gobblin was coming out, so I posted it in hopes some one here would take a stab at it in 1:14 tamiya version of it.

U remember the site? Anyways the scales 1:14 is large and a head that big...is about $500/$1000 easy.
