I just called my real estate agent and said " we have gotta be.in a house with in 9 months....HELP" LOL. I figured I would just share this news with you guys, considering I do sown alot of time on this board talking with a lot of you. Any advice from you guys would be much appreciated.......Nick (bricknick)

Congrats! Enjoy the ride! It goes by way to fast! My son is graduating high school in a month. Seems like it was only yesterday when I was teaching him how to do wheelies on his bike. :D

Take a minute, breathe. It's OK... you're going to have a WILD RIDE. The midnight hunger pangs, the cramps, and the insomnia... and your wife will be even worse.

Just remember, your going to be a Father to a child!!
You get the opportunity to share your life with someone who will look up to you for years and will want to emulate you - for the better or the worse. :p

Just take your time and realize that it will be the best job you've ever had. And try to have fun. Congratulations Nick.

Oh...

You can never start 'em off too soon... anyone here willing to make the expectant couple a plush semi-tractor, with or without a trailer? I could take a poke at it, if no-one else is decently able to handle a sewing machine.

And Bricky, Congrats to you and the missus! Guess this means any 'new truck/trailer/radio fund' just became 'baby-stuff fund'...

Hey bricknick congrats on the new addition to the family.i like others on here do not have kids.me and barb(my wife for 25yrs) chose not to.however having said that we have nieces and nephews.the one piece of advice to you and your wife is let your children know that not only are you their parents but you are also their friends and like friends let them feel confortable talking to you as a friend from time to time, and let them know that you do understand them and they can be themselves.we have done that with our nieces and nephews and they talk to us about alot of things and they are not afraid to talk whether its good our bad :D

Hey guys thanks for all the congrats and advice. I'm sure it will be a heck of a ride. I'm so anxious now lol.And yes the build fund has became baby/house/ starting a life fund lol. But I will be building on those late night's when.I have to sit up with a crying baby, my dad did it with me. He built quite a few of the 1/16 scale monogram peterbilts and kenworth and many others as well when I was a colic baby keeping him up all night. But I do appreciate all the kind words from everyone .... Thank you all from me and Mrs. Girdwood
