I decided to write something about my Cat 325 DL. It is made from aluminium and steel except the superstructure cover which modified Bruder cover.

Cylinders are self made, pump is from Premacon, valve block from Leimbach. Drive motor covers are made by Ari (Hemi) and those are really good and nicely finished parts :-)

Building story can be found here http://rc-tyokoneet.proboards.com/thread/36/cat-325. Unfortunately it is in Finnish but hopefully pictures says more than a thousand words :-)

Here is my latest video

I saw this build on another forum . He did an awesome job , totally reshaped the rear of the bruder cab and great metal fab work on the boom arm with a lot of detail. Yes please share your build photos on this forum.

That's a great looking machine. Did you base all of your dimensions off the Bruder model? If not, it seems the money you spent on the Bruder was mostly for the cab and hood! Everything else you scratchbuilt, and did a mighty fine job of it too!

Very nice! How did you modify your controller? Are those PS2 parts?

Thanks, Reg

Yes and you are right, those are from PS2 controller. I use PS2 sticks to control tracks. I also have custom firmware installed in my radio. Now it is perfect for excavator. Best thing is price, it cost under 100$ for me including mods.

Some of the dimensions are same than in Bruder. Stick and boom are slightly extended because I wanted long stick/boom version.

From Bruder I only used cab and hood. Hood is modified to look more like D series Cat.
