I have used google sketch up for a couple years drawing out things. If you model guys havent heard of it already download it and watch a couple tutorial vids. Its free and actully kind of fun. Well just sharing this maybe i can help someone. I am using it to design front suspension on a sand rail for a sr project and i love it. :D:D

Try 123D Design as well. Few more features. And done by Autodesk if you have any Solidworks background.

That's cool, I'll check it out! Do these programs work with CNC or 3D printing machines?

A friend of mine sent me some drawings for a part he was interested in having made, with sketch-up. I was pretty impressed with the way the drawings turned out! They looked very professional.
