Wow! Off to a really great start. Will the winch motor be able to hadle much weight?

Yes, the gear motor ratio is 1000:1 and a torque of 9 kg*cm (0.9 Nm), additionally, in the hook is sheave block 4:1

so, theoretically, the torque is about 35 kg :)
