About what scale is that? Any clue?

22fatcat
01-04-2014, 11:34 PM
well if i did the math right it should be 1/14th but it seems a little big. i made the width fit the tamiya axles. I am going to have the widows and doors 3D printed, and the grill I think

I used mig to get it stuck together. then I used tig to finish the seem. The metal is 16 gauge kinda heavy for this but its what I had so I used it

01-10-2014, 04:51 PM
I would also like to say that I am very impressed with a lot of the builders on here some of you do not have access to high tech equipment and manage to build some really amazing things. My biggest problem is that I do things to fast I lack the patience that is required for the real fine detail that some people put into there models. I like to make them work and then I want to move on. But I still have fun and enjoy what I do and that is what really matters after all this is a hobby.:)

Here are some new photos of the Bounder, not a lot of progress and some set backs. I had to open up the wheel openings to fit the King Hauler tires:mad:
and then I got one of them in the wrong spot so I had to cut out a piece and make a piece to insert and weld in it will look ok but it's just more work.:(

I like the your method of mounting the body from the 2 uprights. You could hide the mounting screws under a couple of air vents.

:DI just try to keep it simple. The servo mounts are done that way on a lot of rc cars in fact I thought I had some plastic ones left over but i didn't and made those out of aluminum:D

It is, it has some serious body roll and it does wheelies. it reminds me of farm truck on Street Outlaws the way it pulls the front tire when you get on the throttle hard from the start.
